We found our server friendly and knowledgeable. She raved our her favorites when we asked for her opinion.
I got the Chili Lime Chicken Bowl with an added side of French Fries. The bowl was huge and definitely would fill you up without feeling heavy. The chicken was moist and tender. The ingredients were hearty and fresh. The one drawback was that the flavor was a bit bland. I think some cholula hot sauce would compliment the dish perfectly.
The fries all around were disappointing. It tasted premade and overly dried out. Ironically, the fries were a little too heavily salted. Maybe we just got a bad batch.
The kids’ menu was very reasonably priced around $10. I took a bite of my little one’s chicken finger, and it was pretty good.
My wife had a steak and requested medium rare. It was cooked perfectly to her request.
Overall, this would be the choice for a sit-down family meal if you want a quiet meal over a buffet or quick eat.
Act 1: Buffalo mac & cheese arrives with blue ranch — because apparently our dish needed to be more blue than our mood.
Act 2: Steak frites so tough it could be used in a medieval reenactment. Wolves would have filed a complaint.
Act 3: Nachos fused into a single cheesy mass with cold chicken casually lounging on top.
Act 4: Someone forgot half of my daughter-in-law’s dinner. Kids’ corn dogs? You could check the hardness with a metal detector.
Soundtrack: louder than Chuck E. Cheese. Birthday “celebration”: 1 weary server doing their best, audience of awkward relatives, confetti of shattered expectations.
Would I recommend? Only if you’re into irony and dental bills. Not worth $200.
The food was actually amazing.
We knew the food would expensive, what resort is cheap.
We had the New York Strip and Chicken Alfredo pasta and it was Restaurant quality.
So maybe it’s a hit and miss. But it was hit for us.
First it was super super hot I mean if you want to eat inside a sauna this is the place for you . Slow service , food took 4ever and we were only 2 adults and one kid .
Needs better management they also did not have a lot of alcohol drinks listed on the menu . But to me the most important thing was the lack of no ac or fans it was so uncomfortable eating hot and sweat falling down your face . Also it was my husband bday and I requested a cheesecake took them so long they did not even write happy bday on a plate instead server bought a box and still had the audacity to ask me if I wanted them to sing happy birthday wow . I still tipped him but I shouldn’t . I blame this on the manager he should be training his waitstaff better and managing the restaurant better . Will def not come back
We were looking forward to a peaceful, enjoyable meal to mark a special occasion, but what we got was the complete opposite. Our waitress, Genesis, was incredibly rude and condescending from the moment we sat down. Her tone and attitude were completely unprofessional, and she made several unnecessary, smart-ass remarks that left us shocked. This is not how paying guests especially those spending a significant amount to stay at the resort should be treated.
To make matters worse, the AC in the restaurant was either broken or simply not working, making the entire experience hot, uncomfortable, and miserable. Between the terrible service, the stifling heat, and the overall lack of hospitality, this meal was an utter disappointment.
Fireside has now failed us twice. We will not be returning, and I’d strongly advise others to reconsider before dining here especially if you’re hoping for a special or relaxing experience.
Overpriced just like any other in door restaurants so I was ready for higher price for lower quality service and food.
Convenient – yes
Food quality – somewhat good if you know what to offer
Price – extremely overpriced
