This place had amazing food and the portion sizes of the pasta were HUGE! The service was great and the environment was quaint but also not loud–easy to talk to anyone in our seven person party across the table. Would highly recommend the lemon sorbet for dessert!

Delicious food! I used to come here a lot with a few clients. I highly recommend the lasagna but every dish is delicious. I came in with some clients and the manager was so sweet to give them their normal table so that my client could get in and out with his wheelchair, from the area. Highly recommend. Plus, their sausages are all homemade.
You will definitely take home leftovers so even if the dishes are a little more expensive, its still entirely worth it.

It was clear that this restaurant, like too many others, exploits Valentine’s Day with overpriced prix fix meals and B grade service. Our waiter was brusque and insisted we order all three courses at the outset. For $80 it was shocking to find all the main course options were pasta dishes. Starters were mediocre. Shrimp bisque was bland. Calamari were only okay. Mains were very ordinary. Lasagne was stodgy and overpowered by the béchamel sauce. Raviolis were okay. Deserts were disappointing- creme brûlée is not supposed to be near frozen. Altogether this was very poor value and a disappointing evening.

Located on the Olivenhain side of the Encinitas and Rancho Santa Fe border my family and I have been coming to Firenze Trattoria for many years because we live in RSF and FT always has consistently good food and great service. For this most recent visit I was in town for the Christmas holiday and we chose FT as our final family dinner. Inside is very large with many different seating options and a large bar. It is located in a sleepy shopping center so there is always plenty of easy parking. Our server Bill was fantastic and really added to the meal. All of our dishes arrived shortly after ordering and the portion sizes are generous.
For this most recent visit I started off with the Carpaccio di Manzo and thought it was wonderful. I have been ordering this dish since I was a kid and this version was one of the better ones I have had in a few months. For my entree I chose the Seabass Oreganato and loved it. The Seabass was large and flavorful but the baked bread crumbs on top really made the dish for me and was a unique variant. I would highly recommend both to anyone.
Overall a really nice Italian option in a beautiful part of San Diego and I am already looking forward to my next visit.

On a Friday night taking my wife for dinner we did a walk in and the host wasn’t fond of us coming in to the restaurant and didn’t ask what seat we prefer since it wasn’t busy and the host she just placed us in the corner. The server was okay until she must’ve not heard that my wife wanted more Parmesan on her pasta. The end the food is good and only got a fell well by a busser girl.

This restaurant was fantastic. the food was absolutely fantastic. This is probably one of the best cannolis I’ve ever had and the tiramisu definitely in the top five. Definitely recommend the risotto with filet and shrimp the sauce was extremely good. The service was very good also if I could say one thing it should be a tad bit brighter in the restaurant but very nice and romantic

We been there almust 2 year ago with my famous 2 oscar movie star and my whole family we had spagueti, canoli, and the test of the family had few different dishes too, the place is cosy and they had a very fresh and tasty italian food “al dente” so this christmas week we probably show up to have lunch again.

The food was ok. The staff was good they bent over backwards to make everything happen. They were able to accommodate my wish to have veal piccata which isn’t on the menu. They catered to my fellow dinner guests crazy requests.

I brought my wife and son here last night to celebrate my wife’s birthday and had a phenomenal meal! Jeanette was our waitress and was extremely nice and helped us with explanations and recommendations. Firenze Trattoria is probably my favorite Italian restaurant in San Diego County!
