Charles, the manager at Firehouse Subs, is exceptional. He’s a genuine guy who clearly cares, not just about the food, but about the people he serves and the team he leads.

This was the worst experience.
I placed my order online for a 6pm pickup. Arrived at the restaurant 20 minutes early. I didn’t bother them, but waited patiently until my order time. 5 minutes after 6pm I approached the counter to ask about how much longer it would be. They said my order never came through and they couldn’t make it since it didn’t come in on their side.
I showed them my order confirmation and that it was for their correct address. They advised me to contact app support or the corporate number and that I could order in store, then get a refund on my mobile order. The app assistance? 24-48 hour response time.
I decided to just reorder in store and deal with the app later but the store ALSO wouldn’t honor my 25% off coupon from online. I walked out with no food and no refund.
The app did eventually reach out, contradicting everything I was told by the manager in store. I was told only the store could refund my order and that I would be contacted be the store owner or store manager within a few days. Unsurprisingly neither contacted me and I’ve had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I was a frequent Firehouse customer prior to this, but I will not be back – there are plenty of other sandwich places in Sherman.
Edit to add: my credit card company finally closed the dispute in my favor. I never did receive any contact from the local owner or manager.

I live in McKinney now, but use to live in Sherman and always go to this firehouse in Sherman. I don’t know what has happened, but I went there today 3/7 at around 3:30 and ordered a steak and cheese. It was just a slop of tons of mayo, onion, lettuce, pickle and tomato – no meat. They think they slick trying to run game on people like we aren’t going to open it to see what is on it. I feel sick to my stomach from the gal of mayo. Some new guy said he just moved there from Fort Worth. NEVER AGAIN!

Ordered Philly steak foot long. Sign say caramelized onions and green peppers with Mayo or mustard. Said no Mayo or mustard. But they steam them with the meat. Yuck! But I gave them a try. First time there. Meat, onions and peppers were cold. Took it back up to them. They remade it and put a bunch of Mayo and mustard on it. They were not paying attention to what they were doing. To busy BS with each other. I didn’t even bother having them remake it for the third time. Why do I want to have to try 3 times to get a sandwich right. The reason for the 3 star on atmosphere is the lady at the register was nice. Went to Jersey Mike’s and got a good Philly sub. With caramelized red peppers and onions.

I have been to this location a couple times and if you LOVE slow, this place’s for you! I waited sooooo long for a sandwich today. There’s five employees and they’re literally making the sandwiches one at a time. I’ve waited 20 minutes. I imagine I’ll be waiting longer.

It had been well over a decade since I had a Firehouse Sub; I got a Hook and Ladder and it tasted exactly like I remember it, the sandwich presentation was great too.

Wonderful Subs!! Love the Hook and Ladder. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I am a frequent visitor to the Sherman Firehouse Sub. I’m usually there at least 2-3 times a month.

I guess their “garlic bread” is actually just plain toast. I already waited 15 minutes longer than the online order said it would take. There were 4 people working and hardly any customers. All I got was a small sandwich and what was supposed to be garlic bread. Usually they do an okay job but it’s frustrating when I have to work and can’t go back and forth and keep waiting on them to do it right.
