Our orders are usually carry out through the app, so I don’t have an opinion re atmosphere. Service is quick and on point. Our food has been fresh and hot. The mac’n cheese was not impressive but the soups are good. We’ve tried most of the sandwiches and they’re good when the meat is not rolled up down middle of bread. That’s only happened once so far and won’t keep us away. My fave is the Italian. My husband really likes their French fries and chili. Thankful store is near the house!

Victor, who took our order. He was professional and friendly. When I said I forgot to give him my number for my rewards, he said no problem and canceled the payment page. I said oh, you don’t have to key it in again do you and he said no problem, I remember the order. He got it right too.
Then when my husband was getting his cherry limeade drink, half way thru it ran out. Victor said no problem, and immediately replaced the beverage to made it full again. By then our food was ready and he brought it to our table.
5 star service for Victor. He had a great smile too.

Haven’t had a sub from here in awhile just because it seemed like they were going downhill so we tried to give them another shot tonight for dinner and we got the Thanksgiving sub and half the sub had only one slice of meat and the whole sub had no cranberry sauce, the one thing we were actually looking forward to. Felt like we were just eating stuff on a sub roll.

I ordered a sub and fries from app went to pick up food and the fries machine was broken, I was ok with that but for some reason they wouldn’t refund me my money, it’s not a lot of money but the point is I didn’t receive a item and they wouldn’t refund it, I contacted corporate and they told me it was up to the location. It’s the one on Atlantic and Hodges. I will never spend another dime of my money at firehouse. I would eat there around three times a month, so my little money will not put a dent in there company. But I will never recommend anyone going there ever, and I definitely will never spend another penny at firehouse

I have been coming to Firehouse Subs for more than a decade, and this has to be the worst location I have been to; from Florida to Virginia. I should have said yes when asked if I wanted my receipt. I was in somewhat of a rush and wanted a sub for dinner. I couldn’t decide, so I got 2 different subs with leftovers as an option. I ordered the Engineer and the Thanksgiving Sub. After waiting more than 20 minutes to get my subs; after seeing 4 people that ordered after me get their subs; I got called up to pick up my subs, and one had not been made. So I stood there and waited and inquired as to why the second sub wasn’t made yet with the only explanation was they were busy. Then, the person I took to be the manager or shift lead asked her coworker, under her breath, “what did he say?” The young man repeated my question, and she mumbled something about me looking around and seeing how busy it was. So I said, “Excuse me, I didn’t hear what you said.” She looked up in a scowl and said it’s busy. I would give names, but no one had a name tag on. I stood at the counter to watch my subs get made. The Engineer did not look right.
When I got home, I found out why. There was next to no mustard or mayo and was extremely dry. The Thanksgiving sub is a disaster; no cranberry sauce but had extra lettuce on it. I was there from 641 to 719.
This store has had a long history of poor service and sub-par food. I hope that everyone who reads this decides to no longer patronize this location. Convient or not, it’s not worth it.

As someone who’s worked shift leader at over 10 firehouse subs I was so appalled yesterday when I came in for a sub.
Number one. Nobody was friendly but one gentlemen, I was unable to see his name tag but he was the only person speaking kindly to customers.
The woman (I will post a pic below) was not nice to her customers OR her employees.
The options for sub toppings, bread, and meat were limited because someone isn’t doing their ordering properly.
To top that off the pickles aren’t being stored properly and have gone stale so they were basically hard as a rock and like rubber.
Both tea’s were empty and the drink station was filthy as we’re the bathrooms.
My biggest concern.
I ordered a gluten free item.
The bread was dropped with the same gloves as the other bread.
The sub bread was then picked up and put together with the same gloves as the regular subs.
The rest of the sub was made with the same exact gloves and then cut with the same knife and on the same cutting board.
Cross contamination is a risk in a kitchen that also produces gluten items but there was not one single action taken to lower that risk that was taught when gluten free options were introduced at fire house.
They also didn’t make a glove change for someone who was allergic to pickles.
I was too scared to even eat my meal after witnessing with my own eyes their lack of effort to create a safe eating environment for people with celiac / gluten intolerant and sensitive individuals.
Due to their attitudes (mostly the lady and the other male posted in the pic) I was too uncomfortable to request them to follow the proper protocol by changing their gloves and cleaning the station properly to reduce the risks at cross contamination and I was too uncomfortable to request another sub.
I handed the sub off to a homeless man outside and went to another firehouse were i paid again for my meal and watched them so everything step by step correctly at the jax beaches location.
Please leave a phone number or email to respond to for further feedback. I’d love to communicate on that situation to create a clean, safe, friendly food environment with gluten free options for our community because we are definitely limited on those here in Jax.

There were 5 employees here when I got in. I got 3 sandwiches and a cup of soup. It took 25 mins and counting. (Still here) There’s no one else here. 2 of the employees appeared to be off their shift. But they were distracting the actual workers. Lots of chatting and laughing going on. Very smokey, looks like someone burnt something but they don’t seem concerned…. at this point I just want my food to get out of here. What a horrible mistake coming here.

Three weeks in a row that mine and my daughter’s orders through the app were messed up. Week one there were no pickles let alone the extra ones my daughter ordered. Week two I went in at 5:30 to pick up our food and I was told that they didn’t have an order for us. I believe they received the order when it was placed, didn’t pay attention that it was scheduled for 5:30, made the order and then threw it away when no one showed up for it. Week three, my husband’s sub was supposed to be just pastrami, provolone cheese and mustard on wheat bread. He got pastrami, cheese and onions on wheat bread with nothing else. After complaining to management last week, I was told that my next order would be free. Walked in to pick up my order and was told I had to go to the register to pay for it. When I said it was supposed to be free, the girl behind the counter got an attitude and asked why are they free. Told her it was because they messed up our order for 3 weeks in a row and that the manager Kayden said that they told them about the situation. Same girl says that Kayden did mention it to them and then my bag was practically thrown at me. If you knew the order was supposed to be free, then why did you try to make me pay for it!?!

Went to pick the food up and they said they never saw the order. I told them what I ordered showed them it had been paid for and waited an hour for them to make 2 sandwiches. When I got home the sandwiches were made all wrong. I just spoke to the manager and he gave me an attitude said to call corporate. When I ask for the number he told me to look it up. This guy needs to get another job he would do better doing

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. If they don’t have to see you, you will get screwed. Absolutely 0 meat on my LARGE ITALIAN. $13 to get 4 slices of meat is disrespectful. I can understand being off a couple slices but giving me 4 slices? Wow. I genuinely feel disrespected. I’m still hungry after a large sub. I normally eat HALF of a large and I’m stuffed! I have always had good experiences here but this time I feel genuinely disrespected. Half of my sub had SOME meat, the other half (pictured) had none. Order in person so you can see how much they’re giving you. NEVER order online. Wow. Disrespectful.
