Having traveled throughout Texas for BBQ I find myself struggling to find something that satisfies my cravings. Unfortunately this place was subpar . I ordered a tri tip sandwich with coleslaw and fried okra. The tri tip was cold , dry and SAD , I’m just blown away with how do you serve cold tri tip on a cold bun. The amount of tri tip on my sandwich was very minimal it was more bread than meat. Made me think this was old meat served. The bun wasn’t warmed or toasted. The coleslaw was awful it was very bitter as it was mainly cabbage ends. The okra was ok but again anything fried is good. The atmosphere is spot on with a bbq establishment but I did not like there was only micro brews served at a bbq place this is unheard of. Unfortunately I will not be revisiting

Nice people and great brisket! Lots of indoor seating, and there is a bar area. Plenty of tv’s to catch the game. All the meats were terrific, though a little more seasoning would have been preferred for my taste. The mashed potatoes weren’t great but the beans more than made up for it. All the staff were super upbeat and cheerful, and the restaurant has a bright and happy feel. This is a very popular place with the locals! Reasonable parking space but can be tight. Easy to spot with the big fire truck out front!

Sadly just another Sysco BBQ restaurant… Was looking forward to eating here but sorely disappointed. Had the combo plate… Chicken and brisket… Chicken was terrible… Absolutely no flavor or even smoke flavor/taste was almost non existent, it was also really dry and a little overcooked, the skin wasn’t even that good, and that’s hard to mess up chicken skin. Honestly el pollo loco chicken is 10x better. Brisket was good. The sides were also the Sysco standard… Very few things made from scratch. The fry’s were Sysco and were eh… Potato salad was good and probably one of the few homemade sides. Onion rings from the bag…roll was a store bought Hawaiian roll… Service was great, sadly I come for the food. Get some more made in house stuff, rolls/cornbread, onion rings, hand cut fry’s, and you’ll shine.

I ordered the two meat plate (ribs/brisket) with mac n cheese/fried okra and I ordered fried pickle spears as well. The meat did have a good flavor but the portions I were given were way too fatty. The fried okra and pickle spears were gross and tasted like it was fried in old oil that is used to fry fish.

Its so hard to find good bbq in the area so thank goodness this place is here! Every time we come the food is great and we’re never disappointed. I’d recommend the pulled pork with some garlic mashed potatoes to try first.

Their smoked brisket is the best I’ve ever had and in big portions. Tri-tip is very good, too. I’m going to try their whole menu in due time. The deserts are perfect as well.
