Booked almost three weeks in advance as a table of ten. Nine out of ten people loved it but I asked “If the jackfruit burger comes with fries” (as it doesn’t say it on the menu like it does with the regular burgers on the reverse side), and I was told by the server “yes, or you can upgrade to dirty fries”. I said “Perfect, can I order that with the dirty fires” – however when the food came, I was only given dirty fries and no burger. Now, we weren’t charged for the burger (& instead a standalone side of dirty fries) but I ended up just eating the fries because I didn’t want to hold up the other nine in our party and/or be the lone one eating quickly once the burger was made.

Secondly, the fries were fine and contained a lot of jackfruit (though the fries were a little undercooked) but the way it was served was bizarre. I had to leave about a third of it because the way it was presented (see photo) meant the paper broke apart and stuck to the cheese and fries. Disappointing.

Lastly, despite booking our table of ten over two weeks ahead of time and arriving at 17:05 (admittedly a few minutes past our time of 17:00), when it came to 18:20 after our mains, we were asked if we wanted dessert or anything else and we said “give us a few minutes?” (as some of our party were in the toilet), but then another staff member came over and said we had to leave/finish our drinks at the bar as “we have another table of ten coming in now”. And it’s like, 90 minutes for a table of ten on a Saturday night that was booked well in advance seems unusual and made us feel rushed. Had we said “yes, can we see the dessert menu?” to the first server, what would have happened?

Again, nine out of the ten people at our table loved it and waxed poetically about the food for the rest of the night but between the rush at the end, my fries absorbing the paper, my missing burger and a few drink orders that needed to be fixed, it wasn’t the best but I’m just assuming it was one of those days.

I didn’t really know what to expect when my daughter booked this restaurant, but WOW! What a great find! I don’t know much about smoked food but the flavours in the meat were just incredible. We ordered the 3 meat option, and within minutes we were served a huge wooden board with an amazing array of delicious food. There were crispy burnt ends of pork which were to die for, brisket, pulled port ( just gorgeous) and pigs in blankets, crispy and super tasty. There was also a generous heap of creamy coleslaw, pickles, some incredible Parmesan fries, proper mac and cheese (decent strong cheesy flavour) and three sauces that really packed a punch! We couldn’t eat all of it, there was so much! The restaurant has lovely, soft lighting, good sounds, and friendly, attentive service. Starve yourself before you go though, the portions are HUGE. I cannot recommend this place highly enough – 5 stars from me, and I don’t give that often.

Absolutely delicious! Meat—great, chips—great, Mac and cheese—great, cornbread—one of the best I’ve ever had and that’s coming from someone from Kentucky! Best BBQ food I’ve had since moving to the UK. Highly recommend!

Booked a pod and ordered the pitmasters pride with an extra couple of sides. Food was amazing, served 5 of us and we all felt full afterwards. The smoked bbq flavour was great through all of the meats. The sauces were that we ordered with the meal were also delicious as were the sides that we got. The staff were brilliant and kept checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. We will be back again for more of that bbq greatness but will be there early so we can see the cooking in action.

The second you walk in you can smell the burning wood.
When you enter the restaurant is to the side, of the bar the barman was helpful in taking our booking and could tell we were Firehouse Virgins.

The room has a pretty decent view and looks of tables so can fit quite a few folk.

We opted for the 3 meat platter with smoked sausage, burnt ends and the dino bone. Each one was awesome and the rib meat fell off the bone. Would definitely recommend the corn ribs as a side.
Definitely opt for a pit master specials. The smokey flavor and firehouse BBQ are delicious. The table next to us got wings and tenders which looked epic as well.

The staff were perfectly lovely and helpful and the atmosphere sets the tone for the meats.

There is limited parking, maybe 4 cars can park comfortably at the front. Wheel chairs should be ok as there were no stairs or steep gradients.

For the money you pay the portions are a decent size, the flavour is brilliant and the staff are attentive. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for decent bbq in Glasgow.

The food was genuinely great and came out fast, which we really appreciated. Everything was full of smoky flavor and clearly made with care. Service was friendly and quick. Good vibes and music. We’ll definitely consider booking one of the pods next time for a more private setup. Looks like a fun way to enjoy the full experience.

4 of us went for the pit master platter with a couple of extra sides and it was unbelievable. You won’t be disappointed so next time you feel like some bbq food you know where to go. We had driven from an hour away and it was worth the wait! Highly recommend! It’s including alcoholic drinks it worked out about thirty pounds per person which is unbelievable value for the amount you get.
