The only reason I rated service a 3 is because their wasn’t enough help. The only waitress was hustling but it still took one hour to get our food.

This place is filled with items from fire houses / departments from around the country.

Cheeseburger delicious as well as the chicken quesadillas

Visiting Saint Helen and wanted to try this place because on of my husband’s favorite places to visit in Houghton lake is owned by the same owners.
Atmosphere was great. Love the firehouse theme.
Our waiter was super friendly. Unfortunately the food is where the firehouse missed the mark a little for us. A bit pricey with a very slow kitchen. Not the waiters fault again he was great. However the bartender seemed more interested in joking with the regulars instead of pausing the horseplay to run my keno. Stood there for a good 5 minutes until she finally walked past me and behind the bar to serve someone a drink who had just walked up. I guess maybe she thought I was there to just gamble and didn’t take into account my 7-top that she was treating for a night out. In my mind I thought I was being helpful to our server by going to the bar for keno, I guess ithe bartender disagreed. Nonetheless I don’t base my reviews solely on one employees actions, I observe and rate based on overall experience. Food was pricey, slow from the kitchen but decent, drinks were slower to the table but the beers were cold and our server was top notch so overall I will give this place another shot in hopes that maybe they were just having an off night and I’ll update my review then. I wish I could remember our servers name but he was filling in from the Houghton lake location.

Ordered a chicken sandwich and received a fried chicken skin without any chicken! And about 8 French fries! Check out my picture! Been going really down hill for the past year or so.

Came in on Saturday. A couple large tables but not really busy. Waiting 10 minutes for drinks. Ordered our food Grilled chicken sandwich with seasoned tots and BLT with seasoned fries. Alongwith fried pickles as an appetizers. Got our food 45 minutes later all together and cold. The waitress took the appetizer off our bill. Her excuse was she had to split to many bills up from other tables and something about being closed for a week. Very disappointed in the whole experience.

4 of went to eat walleye was horrible very small portions we waited for over hour for food and they brought it all at once. Fries one of us got lucky if we had 15 fries Fish was dry. Over cooked chicken tenders were not the best. Order season fries got regular fries. We drank all our pop started with a second cup for the the price don’t recommend it at all.

We stopped by after hitting trails all day on our side by side. We wanted to have a drink and an appetizer so went with their loaded tots. These were really really good. Tots were cooked perfectly, nice and crispy but not over cooked. I was a little disappointed by the portion size. We sat at the bar and the service was good. Overall vibe of the place seemed okay but also a little confusing. One part of the place looks like a normal restaurant while the other part had beer pong set up. I don’t mind the set up; sharing for others who may want to know.

Haven’t been here for a while. Ownership/menu/staff has definitely changed, and not in a good way. Food wasn’t bad, but it’s not as good as it used to be. Portions are smaller, plates are smaller to make it look like portions didn’t change.

We went in for a quick lunch and I thought I’d be safe with a salad. Like, whoa! I ate it for two days! Everything was fresh and more than one would expect. Would definitely recommend splitting it.
