I’ve always been hesitant of trying fish in Kansas. I grew up in Florida and have had some good sushi there. I was beginning to worry I wouldn’t experience fresh sushi once I moved to Kansas. Firefly does not disappoint. They have the best sushi in the state of Kansas (in my opinion). I especially love their lemon rolls! I also enjoy their Philadelphia and Crunchy rolls. I love popping by this restaurant while I am out for a walk with my daughter. The atmosphere is quiet and spacious. I’m able to push my daughter’s stroller right in and grab a roll of my choice. I’m very glad St Mary’s has fresh sushi!

My husband and I were in the area and had been looking forward to trying this place for a while. Unfortunately, our visit was very disappointing. When we walked in, there was only one staff member visible, and she seemed visibly annoyed or miserable. It gave us the impression that they might be closing up for the evening — she was gathering her things — but nothing was communicated to us or to the line of customers behind us.
We waited about 15 minutes without any greeting or acknowledgment. When she finally looked in our direction, we asked if they were still serving ramen (which we came specifically to try), and she abruptly replied “no” before continuing to gather her things. She ended up walking out just a few seconds after we did.
There were no signs or notices about different hours, and the posted hours online indicated they should have still been open. The lack of communication and courtesy made for a very uncomfortable and frankly disrespectful experience.
update: sent an emailed owner from response to this review. No response back.

Excellent all around! The sushi is great, but the hot dishes for both breakfast and lunch are fresh and delicious. Really rare to find this kind of quality in a small town. Very glad to have them here!

Excellent sushi, great prices and customer service, plus it’s probably the fastest place around when you’re in a rush. I particularly appreciate that there are many rolls that don’t include raw fish, though my favorite is the raw salmon and lemon roll.
They sell out very often from what I can tell, but when you go in you can sign up for text alerts for when they have to close early from selling out. Very handy.

Nice place with a lot of variety. Everything was delicious, from the ramen and sushi, down to the cookies. They have some sushi and various items packaged at the front counter to grab takeout snack. Their menu wasn’t finished when we visited, but there were a large variety of items. The interior was very clean with a few simple table options. The restroom was clean and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend!

Finally got to try this place. As stated in previous reviews, their service was splendid, they really went above and beyond. Sushi is made very well and for a very fair price. I recommend trying this joint.

I usually get their sushi or their Ramen bowls.. but TODAY,, I tried the CPLT sandwich (Charsua pork, lettuce, & tomato) with their spicy mayo. HOLY COW! It’s like a blt with the bacon being replaced by the pork. This is my new favorite sandwich. And then the wafu fries were lite and fluffy and perfectly seasoned. A real win all the way around.
