Personally, this is the best place in Salt City Market. I have enjoyed every menu item that I’ve tried. Although some dishes were a bit salty for my taste, they were still delicious. However, the parking space in the building is limited, so it might be better to park outside the building.

Fried rice is my to go dish whenever I want a quick and easy meal. As someone who was born and raised in Asian, my mom used to make fried for breakfast. Yes, for breakfast using leftover rice from the night before. I am not saying I am an expert in fried rice but I do few have constructive comments about the fried rice that I had at Firecracker Thai Kitchen. I ordered pineapple fried rice and was looking forward to it since it was Good Friday and wanted to avoid meat. Here’s what I found out. The rice in my fried rice was lumpy. It was horrible. Why not break it apart while it was in the wok? One could easily do that when you stirring it in the wok. Secondly, it was greasy. Very greasy. Not idea why it should be that way.
Thirdly, it was flavorless. Was hoping for some kind of fire-cracking Thai flavor but it was nothing. Nada. No salt or even pepper.
I want this place to succeed. Not too many can travel to Thailand and try a real Thai food. And I totally understand that not too many people can take the spiciness of Thai food. But let’s try make it right and properly. If not, you are just going to become another typical takeout place.

I ordered the Vegan Spicy Impossible Stir Fry. It was marked as very spicy, but I didn’t taste much spice at all, so I would not classify it as “very spicy.” I thought that it was expensive for the portion size. I’d say it was okay, not great.
That being said, the staff was SUPER friendly, which I really appreciated.

The basil chicken was flavorful and good but the chicken wings had a very strange smell to the meat which I couldn’t tell if it was from the fish sauce marinade they use or if the meat was old.

It’s criminal this place has such a low score. There aren’t 10 better restaurants in Syracuse. I had the burger tonight and the fries were incredible too. We need more quality places like this in Syracuse!

Friendly staff but had to wait 20 minutes for my order. Would have appreciated knowing the anticipated wait time before. My friends were basically done eating before my food was ready. Thai beef salad was excellent! Tom yum chicken soup was not my favorite. Will definitely be back to try some curries.

Firecracker Thai Kitchen offers absolutely amazing Thai cuisine. I ordered the spicy basil chicken and the spring rolls. My wife ordered the Thai green curry with noodles.
Everything was so flavorful, balanced, and fresh from what you would expect from a high end Thai restaurant, but we got to enjoy in a relaxing environment that Salt City Market offers. The spring rolls are made by hand.
The owner Sara and her team are super friendly and the service was excellent! I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys quality fresh food. If I could give this place 10 stars it would still not be enough!

Ordered pineapple fried rice, no one told me they were out of pineapple. The dish was made without pineapple, and I ordered my food to go so I couldn’t take it back.
