We sat at the bar (unfortunately a very large, awkwardly placed beer tap was directly in front of us). A bartender named Hayden took our orders. He was very pleasant and attentive. We were talking to a couple next to us and after we finished eating and the seat on the other side of the couple opened, I moved over there. I finished my drink and wanted another but the other bartender, Lucas who was now supposed to be taking care of us never looked our way. I finally had to get Hayden’s attention and asked him to tell Lucas I wanted a drink. But, Lucas was too busy talking to a guest on the other side of the bar. I finally got Lucas’ attention and got a drink. This kind of non attention to all guests is not acceptable in my opinion. Finally, the drink glasses are very small for the price. I’m not likely to return.
Update. We did go back and had a much better experience with Lucas. Turns out he’s a really great guy. I’m sorry I doubted you.
Tried the smoked wings naked. Not good. No seasoning, just smoked. Not for me. Also there were feathers on one of them. The let me choose something else. I tried the Lobster queso and didn’t like it either.

Great atmosphere, disappointing steak.
I stopped in to Firebirds to grab a steak and catch Thursday Night Football. The ambiance was great…especially the roaring fire near the bar, which made the place feel warm and inviting. I added a salad for an extra $8 and it was super fresh and well done.
Unfortunately, the meal fell short where it mattered most: the steak.
My 12 oz cut tasted anywhere from bland to almost skunky. I’m not sure if it was the seasoning or something off with the meat, but it was nearly unbearable to eat – easily the worst steak I’ve had in a long time. Hard to understand how a steakhouse misses on the steak.
It’s a shame, because the atmosphere was spot-on. But based on the experience, I probably won’t be back, even though I loved that fire.

Just had a fabulous mean. Lobster spinach queso appetizer was amazing. Had steaks and a really great cream brulee cheesecake dessert. Can’t wait doe my next visit when I am here for kc games.

It is amazing how down hill this place has gone. The last 5 times here the steaks are over cooked or severely undercooked and have Zero flavor. This one was ordered medium well. Done going here

My wife and I love this place. Steaks are always cooked to perfection! Fish is always fresh and delicious! Everything tastes homemade. The service is friendly and top notch. We’ve never been disappointed. Always impressed! This is where we take guests when we want to make sure everything is perfect.

I visited Firebirds Wood Fired Grill yesterday on Valentine’s Day around 10 PM. Unfortunately, my first impression was not great. At the host stand, the lady was sitting on the chair while handling guests. It didn’t feel very welcoming or professional. She simply told the gentleman next to her to take me to a table without much interaction.
I understand it was a busy holiday, but hospitality and a warm greeting make a big difference. I hope the front-desk service can be improved so guests feel valued when they arrive.

It’s a Friday night so I called this restaurant to ask how long the wait would be for 2. “15 minutes,” she said. I told her my name and let her know we were 7 minutes away. When we get to the restaurant I check in at the hostess stand. The young lady greets us and says nothing about additional delays expected as we later found out was the case. After waiting 30 minutes, I approach the hostess stand again and ask how long our wait is. She says 5 more minutes, we’re next on the list and apologizes for the long wait. After seeing multiple parties of 2 being seated and waiting a total of 45 minutes. I ask the hostess to help me understand what’s going on. She says that they had reservations- which i definitely understand and respect, but we have waited more than double the wait time and were told we were next so we continued to wait. She says something about a manager in the back making the seat assignments and that she’s asked him to put us next but he’s not doing it. I stayed pleasant, but did voice my disappointment with the service. They showed no signs of wanting to do anything different or get us seated so I told them to have a good night and we came out to Jalapeños in OP. We’ll be sat in 10 minutes. Firebirds need to get things situated with that manager in the back handling the seat assignments.
