Firebird is a casual restaurant-bar in downtown Detroit, featuring approachable yet elevated food and drink. Since 2013, we’ve aimed to provide locals and out-of-towners with a warm, lively and inviting spot to meet, dine, drink and dance. Stop in for lunch, happy hour, dinner and late nite dining. We love bourbon, tequila and beer, and you can find plenty at our neighborhood establishment. Come party with us on the weekends as the lights go down and the music turns up! Situated in a historic building that has been carefully restored and modernized, Firebird features two floors for dining and private events and can host nearly 250 guests.

Went there 30 minutes before closing looking for drinks and some apps and it did not disappoint! I had the winter special old fashioned and it was wonderful! The food we ordered was also excellent, however, our bartender made the experience truly great! Rob was such an engaging and entertaining bartender. We had such fun conversations with him and he kept the bar open for us after closing time! If he’s there, we’re definitely headed back.

My friends and I enjoyed a trivia night here. Overall a very nice restaurant, my only complaint is that it was not clear where the entrance was, I walked around the place looking for a main entrance (in the snow!) and then went in from what looks like a side entrance that only employees may use.

Her communication was prompt and thorough, and she provided excellent recommendations for both event packages and food options that were perfect for our team. The event itself ran seamlessly, and everyone had a fantastic time. The staff working that evening were equally impressive. We would absolutely love to host another event with them in the near future

Went to Firebird Tavern for our wedding ‘day after’ party. It was the perfect spot for our event, I can’t stop talking about how my expectations were blown out of water! We had the full upstairs rented out for our event- it was clean, it was set up right on time, the service was incredible and the communication from the staff was great- amazing hospitality all around! On top of that, the food itself was REALLY impressive. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a beautiful classic space and great service!

I went here for a work Recognition meeting. We had the event upstairs, and with everyone there, it was jam-packed but still a good experience. The service was still good and quick. I didn’t really get much while here but a drink, and I would like to return sometime to try out the food when it’s less crowded.

Great food. Friendly staff. Cool place. Ate on the second floor and drank more on the first floor after. We went to watch the Lions game and had a great time. Very happy they put the game audio over the speakers. Ordered a pretzel (huge) and split a burger. The pretzel was great and the burger was above average. The only complaint was that a Guinness was served in a plastic cup, but I’m fully aware it may have been due to the high volume of people on a busy day. I’d definitely come back.
