The atmosphere of this place *feels* like you’re going to leave with food poisoning. Lights don’t work. Floor and tables feel sticky. It’s kinda seedy. There were about 10 people here when we came in at 630 on a Friday, and no menus were available.
That aside, the meat at this place is quite good, but dry. Unique BBQ sauce. The fries were not my husband’s nor my favorite, and, for once, there were fries left on his plate… which is crazy to think of! Mac n cheese was subpar (needs to be creamier!)
In sum: they need work on their side dishes and their atmosphere. Order meat.
Waitstaff was friendly.

Fire Up Grill moved to it’s Water Street location within “The Office Bar.” The service was great. Owners Jalen & Michelle were very friendly along with their serving staff. I had their Catfish Dinner and it was amazing! This is the kind of Catfish you can only find in the South, but we have it right here in Port Huron. The portion size is great. Look forward to going back. Highly recommend.

Just came out here with my girlfriend and this is out first time ever walking out cause we don’t like the food or the way the situation was handled. The catfish was bland and my chicken sandwhich was bland and burnt. We were waiting 50 minutes for our food, Had a talk with the owner abd told him that we’d pay for our drinks but not the food he tried to call us liers and say we were not waiting for 50 minutes which I have receipts I showed him that we were since we just came out of JCpenny to go eat here. Won’t come back, Get better food and better service.

A lot of these reviews look older… We had absolutely amazing service. The owner Jalen was excellent and super inviting. We were offered some fresh Gumbo that he’d made earlier that day, and it was awesome! First time I’ve had it and sure won’t be the last. Hopefully the other times can come close. Best customer service I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Jalen is a great dude!

The chicken wings are absolutely FIRE, best in the area by a long shot!! The house BBQ sauce is just right. Tangy, sweet but w/ a touch of savory too. Garlic parm sauce was legit too! My son’s burger was amazing as was my wife’s Coney dog. We have been here on a few occasions and it is consistently great (brisket & ribs). Now we will work our way through the rest of the menu! Totally our new spot!

Food was ok at best. Portions and prices were fair. Floor looked clean but when walking on it, it felt very slimy and slippery. Almost like it was covered in grease. The apolstery was torn on the seat and the table was too high. My shoulders were really hurting me before I was even half done with my meal. My waitress was great. I feel there’s nothing worth going back for. I won’t be going back.

Best ambience, service, staff and food!! Catfish, chicken and waffles, ribs, greens and Mac and cheese were fire!! And let me tell you about this dessert, banana pudding cheesecake.. BY FAR THE BEST DESSERT EVER! So glad this place is open!! Our server Dejah was AWESOME!!! You have got to try it!!

Poor service and the food was not very good. Wanted brisket nachos-they didn’t have brisket . Asked for Parmesan cheese with my spaghetti and never got. Other person in my group ordered the fried chicken sandwich-says it came with mayo and pickles. It came on a dried out bun with lettuce and tomato-no mayo. Won’t eat there again.

I’m not one to complain, but this might be the worst place I’ve ate. My kids are not picky, and they took maybe a bite and were done. I spent 80$ and one out of seven of us ate our food.
We were here over an hour and a half waited a good hour, for our food.

Went there for an early dinner before catching a movie with my husband. Ordered the pretzels with beer cheese as our appetizer and some steaks for our entree. We got our entree first and had to remind our waitress of our appetizer so she ended up bringing it out when we was close to being done eating. My husband ordered his steak medium and it was as rare as rare could be. I ordered my steak well done and it was more medium then it was well done. I do not like my meat where it has any pink in it and my husbands steak was still bleeding. We both had mashed potatoes and gravy with broccoli and that was cold when we started eating. If we hadn’t had plans to see a movie that was do to start before we got done eating, we would have sent it all back and asked for a hot meal. This by far was the worst service and food that we’ve had by far at any restaurant.
