I spent a pretty hefty chunk of change on lunch today. I ordered the taquitos, or rolled tacos as they are called at some restaurants. 4 lengua tacos. A side of beans and a side of rice. My total for all of this was $38! That aint cheap. But I don’t mind spending a little more money for some good food.
The problem is, this food isnt very good. Everything lacked flavor!
I don’t recall being asked if I wanted beef or chicken. But I got 4 chicken taquitos. I can tell that the chicken was boiled. And then shredded, without any seasoning, being added at all. Maybe they were hoping that the flavorless guacamole and sliced avocado would add flavor to this dish. It did not.
The rice was good. The combination of chicken and tomato flavors went well with the seasonings.
The beans also lacked seasoning. The consistency was good, but it just lacked flavor.
The lengua tacos were okay. The grilled onions and grilled jalapeno helped greatly to increase the flavor. As did the salsa. Without these additional items, the tacos themselves would have fallen short.

I’ve driven by Fire Tacos many many times, but never stopped as I was getting gas.
I finally decided to check it out. The menu looks very typical of a Mexican food cart which isn’t bad at all. I ordered the $10 ground beef burrito special it was actually good well worth the $10. In fact, it’s probably the best $10 in Mexican food these days anywhere in Oregon.

The service was a little on the slow side, but super friendly atmosphere is just a food cart on a busy road next to the very very busy truckstop and gas station but overall it was good. I may stop back in again. Try something else.

I sat in the “undercover” area outside Fire Tacos today, getting sprayed with rain, with no parking, and had the most enjoyable meal I’ve had in a long time. The staff was friendly, the food came fast, and the rain was dripping everywhere. The Taco Salad I ordered was one of the best I’ve ever had, and I always order a Taco Salad. After I wiped off the soaked beaches with my coat, and sat down, I completely forgot about how cold and wet it was. I hate being wet and cold, but that food made it all disappear. Would eat again!

The taco salad with ground beef was great and hit the spot!! My better half had the enchilada special and he said it was great as well! Very quick and decent priced with nice portions. It was a rainy day and was the only stand open.

Came here to get a burrito for dinner and got a carne asada burrito number 17. Burrito was really good had lots of authentic flavor and real juicy inside. I have been to a lot of burrito places and this one is one of the ones that has good authentic Mexican burrito. And their homemade hot sauces really good too, if you like that kind of flavor.. People who don’t know good flavor won’t like the hot sauces.. I think it’s worth the money that you spend to get this burrito. I would recommend you to come and try this out and all the other variety foods that they have.. This is the first time I’ve been here and I’m really impressed with the food.

“Extremely poor food quality don’t waste your money here. I ordered a carne asada burrito, The beef had a bad taste, and when I opened it up, the avocado was dark black, rotten and mushy. To top it off, the tortilla was stale and hard. Serving meat and produce in that condition is unacceptable. Definitely avoid this truck.”

Got the pastor and carnitas tacos. They were pretty damn good and reasonably priced. Staff was super friendly and despite what others are saying they do speak English they probably just don’t want to talk a whole lot to pushy white people at a Flying J in rural Oregon. They give you a good amount of cilantro and a selection of the little accoutrements you would want with tacos. Great choice considering the “atmosphere” is a dirt lot across from a truck stop.

$10 for 3 delicious tacos! Great rice, lots of meat, and the tacos are surprisingly good and fresh, good quality.
It might takes a while to get your food but worth the wait.
