I walked by in the evening probably a half hour before closing and had a very good experience. The woman who took my order was friendly and explained parts of the menu, I asked what would be easiest to carry out on a walk – ended up getting a chicken kabob plate, it was wrapped very efficiently and made it back to where I was staying without spills. All the sauces I tried were fire, I think everything was fairly cumin and coriander forward, with a lot of heat. I thought the flavors were a great punch.

Excellent meal! Friendly service and absolutely outstanding food including mains and sides. 100% recommend – Tri-tip was tender and juicy, jerk chicken kabob seasoning was perfection. BBQ sauces were delicious, not too sweet, just the right amount of heat. Slaw was vinegar-based with subtle sweetness that was a great compliment to the BBQ. Fire roasted potatoes were well seasoned and crispy outside, fluffy in the middle. Mac n cheese and collard greens were delicious as well. We’ve lived and traveled all over the south and this BBQ would stand up to some of the best we’ve tried. Definitely worth a stop!

The people who run this place are so friendly and hard working and they know bbq! One of the best meals I’ve had in Alaska. The sweet soy kabob combo was really good and their home made bbq sauces are awesome. I wish I lived closer so I could try everything!! This place is a must try!!

Some of the best BBQ I’ve had in Alaska! The mushroom bbq sauce was amazing, great meats and sides, and friendly hardworking staff. Outdoor seating was nice, and we liked that they were open a bit later than most other places in town.
