New spot where Olga’s lived for quite some time. Heard a reservation was smart for a Friday night and am glad we made one. Very small place and they book all the tables (and the bar) instead of leaving a few for walk-in seating. Lots of staff walking around. Menu was great! 3 of the 4 pastas are spicy if it’s your thing. Drinks going out were gorgeous. Food was tasty but not very hot. Definitely try (with a reservation) to at least grab an appetitzer and drinks.

My friend and I had never been to Col. Beach before, so we didn’t know where to eat. Man, were we happy to have found Fire Escape. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, the crab corn chowder was delicious, and my beverage was amazing. I highly recommend this little gem! We didn’t have reservations, but in peak season, I would definitely make them.

Went for mothers bday and just meh. Our waitress also the bartender was busy w drinks and taking other tables we sat for along time w out service. Other tables that showed up after us(5) received their food before us(3). I will say my bacon blue burger was very good but I was surprised when it came w no lettuce tomato onion pickles NOTHING just bread and a burger? Also the old bay fries are overly seasoned I thought I was maybe just me but we heard the other table talking about them also. My mother had the shrimp risotto she said it was good but way to salty. My drink was perfect had the rivah. I think the idea of a more upscale restaurant in this area works better in theory than reality! With Olga’s gone we really don’t have a good breakfast spot or a place that serves good down home food. I think the business would triple if it was a little less fu-fu.

Best place in all of Virginia! They deserve a literal, 5 gold stars! It’s a small place, but oh so worth it! I had steak and my husband had their famous burgers! The couple who runs it has truly out done themselves! I want to follow wherever they go! Good hearted folks whose food taste as heart felt too! If you don’t like it here, you don’t like good food! We traveled almost 3 hours and it was WORTH IT! Reheating my leftovers now and it’s still is soooooo good!!!

Great Food, Great Mocktails and Great service. We were in and out with in an hour! Steak was tender and moist, mashed potatoes were amazing. Husband got cod with Asparagus, he Loved it. Everything was delicious from the appetizer, entree to the dessert! Will definitely be back!

Just wanted to shout out a thank you to Fire Escape and to Jess and Summer for a great evening. Finally had my sister and bro in town. The food was just perfect and Jess invented the most delicious drinks that really complemented the season. Summer missed nothing we needed when we needed it. It had been a long tough week for us, we’d and we really appreciated our relaxing evening, where nothing went wrong. They took such great care of us.

Finally got a chance to check out the brunch and it didn’t disappoint! Made a reservation a few days prior. We were greeted and immediately seated at a lovely set table. Lots of attention to detail and I love that like other places in CB, they have local artist works, decorating the walls. The deviled eggs and mozzarella logs appetizers were delicious!! The peach bellini and Apple cider mimosa were on point. The brunch entrees were really rich in flavor and so filling. The owner, Tania, was very friendly. She came over and chatted with us for a bit. Definitely recommend giving this spot some love! Looking forward to going back soon to try out their daily menu. The burgers sound amazing!!

We found this restaurant by accident, and I’m so glad we did! Everything was excellent, from the service and atmosphere to the food itself. My husband, a former chef himself, said his steak was perfect. My Bang Bang Shrimp (an appetizer I made a meal) were delicious. We will definitely return when we come back to visit Colonial Beach.
