I ordered a bowl of cream of crab soup, the breaded haddock sandwich, and the middle neck clams. The Good: the tartar sauce was amazing. The sandwich was perfectly cooked. The clams were delicious. I also want a year supply of the Old Bay pickles. The soup was decent. ||| The Bad: The crab soup was almost room temperature. If i get sick tonight, that will be my number one suspect. They took the soup and microwaved it. I know they microwaved it because my oyster crackers were still in the soup, not stirred. That’s very disappointing. Not really enough crab, either. The pickles, while amazing, were forgotten and I had to ask for my side of pickles. The breading on the sandwich could use some seasoning. It was somewhat bland until I covered it in lemon juice, hot sauce, and tartar sauce.

New ownership, New name. Figured we’d give it another try. It was better than our previous visit. Major complaint- requested blue cheese burger with no mushrooms and it came out covered in them. I picked them out, but the server only said sorry and never offered to make it right. I would have declined and dealt with what I was given, however, a bit more care would have been nice. I do feel confident that he did order it correctly and the kitchen made the error. Might try Fins again in the future, but it might be awhile. This visit was a dinner date with my 8 year old, and we still had an enjoyable time together.

My husband and I have so enjoyed Fins in Georgetown about every weekend they have been there. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Zack checks on use to be sure we are doing good while there. All the servers Page, Sara, Chris, Todd, Jess that have waited on us went above and beyond to be sure we were doing good. My husband and I just celebrated 44 years of marriage and he wanted to take me somewhere very fancy but my heart is at Fins. Can’t bet the good food and the amazing food and service. Thank you all!!!!!

I went when it was Shuckers…it was horrible. Now it’s Fins and NO better. It took a long time for the app to come out, longer for the food.
Smash burger was the size of a coffee mug, very small. Overly burnt, didn’t taste like burger at all just burnt. Assuming cheese was melted in a broiler after cooking the burger, cheese was browned and dry. Mine had a roll hers did not. Cheese sauce was gritty not a proper sauce.
We paid for everything and even tipped well bit the food was left on the bar. No attempt to ask what was wrong with it. I THINK THEY ALREADY ITS TRASH. I will NEVER go back.

We wanted to dine out tonight and we like Fins, the different locations, and are there fairly regularly. I had the steamed clams, and they were gritty. They didn’t charge us, but very unappetizing. My husband ordered a bowl of Cream of Crab soup and it was barely warm, he didn’t say anything, but we didn’t order dinner and went somewhere else. They are typically consistent across the various locations, but not Georgetown. Ownership needs attention to this.

Service was very attentive. I ordered cream of crab soup and an appetizer of small fried shrimp.
The soup was good but not great. It seemed to have something green like celery in it. Had no sherry or old bay to give it more flavor.
Shrimp were plentiful. Dish was actually meant to share so I had plenty to take home. Small shrimp but fried perfectly. The accompanying chili sauce was delicious.
My friend ordered broiled grouper. It was very thin and looked a bit dry as it had no sauce or butter.

My wife and I are big fans of Fins and were so excited when they took over JD Shuckers in Georgetown. Initially food was what you expect from Fins. However, the kitchen seems to be slipping. Again we were served old, cold fries. There is nothing more aggravating than being served a delicious smash burger with cold fries. That was always the problem with JD Shuckers. Fins, we know you can do better.
