Red Duke Games (The Necronomnomnom)
A worthy successor to Siamsa, Finola’s proved to be quite a pleasure on a busy Saturday night. Somehow, Matthew managed to provide great service despite a lively and likely demanding crowd. The live music by Flying High (possibly Flyin’ High) was a welcome bonus, with a great set list of faithfully covered 90’s hits, and some given a deliberate folkification that was very well done.
The draft beer selection is extensive, with the draft Killkenny exceptionally easy drinking. The Guinness was all you could ask for in a Guinness, unless maybe you wanted it warm (didn’t ask, I like my beer cold).
The Guinness-braised short rib was excellent. Savory and robust and priced right. The French onion soup was perfect. No crazy flourishes, just exactly what you want and expect. The Shepard’s pie was hearty and authentic and also a good value. Matthew recommends the Chicken Pot Pie, and so we’ll have to try that next time – he was right about everything else.
Nice Irish pub atmosphere. A lively place full of happy people having a good time.

10/18/25 been here several times.
Service has always been friendly and fast. We had our reunion in the back room. It was perfect. Thanks to all who made it possible!
I had a burger with house made chips and it was really good!

Was really hopeful for a good Irish breakfast, however we were disappointed. Ordered eggs over easy and they came out with the yolks as solid as a hard boiled egg and the whites with black burnt grease on the edges. A half piece of toast. No black or white pudding included. Told our server about this and was told that they were out of both puddings. No offer for additional sausage or bacon. When the check came I saw a 10% discount entered but no mention of it by our server. Really disappointed as we were hoping there might be a place for Irish breakfast again in Stroudsburg.

Mathew killed it and set us up with our new datenight spot! The chicken pot pie was amazing and they had great vegetarian options for my wife! Great music, great staff, and high class food! Definitely a regular spot for us now!

This place was wonderful. We stopped in on a Tuesday night with a team of 25+ college girls who had just lost a match. It was 10pm and the kitchen was ready to close. Matthew got the kitchen to stay open and was absolutely an amazing and gracious host. The food was standard bar food but really tasty and great quality. They didn’t rush through our order! And obviously the service was fantastic. But even if I was just stopping in for a Guinness, the pub had a genuine Irish feel (like actual Irealnd, not American-Ireland) and looks like they usually have bands there. Promised I would leave a great review for them and wanted to honor that because they really did right by us!

Overall a great experience. Even the upholstery on the seats were charming. Long beautiful bar with a small stage nicely set up towards one end. As for food, I was expecting the Shepard pie to be better. Then again I did get something I wasn’t really in the mood for. My husband defanitely enjoyed the short ribs though! Our waitress was prompt, friendly, and spoke with a genuine smile on her face. She had great timing too – when bringing out food, offering the check, drinks, dessert, etc…100% on point.

One hour wait for food which then came out cold. Cheesesteak roll was burnt and rock hard. Chicken pot pie had no filling inside. If you want cold food, rock hard rolls, and just puffed pastry it is definitely the place for you! We will not return! And, no they were not busy!

So after not getting service in Vault 636 I went across the road to Finola for the first time- Am I glad I did! Friendly professional service from Matthew. He suggested the Chicken Pot Pie- OMG it was as good as the pinnacle of chicken pot pies- Diamond Jim Brady’s in NYC. Amazing food. Highly recommended food and bar.
