This was our first visit. It’s a small pub in Hudson. There’re seat-yourself benches, high-top tables, a bar, & 2 coin-op pool tables. The atmosphere is nice and clean, comparable to your average pub. It’s a little echoey, but that’s typical of this type of setting.

Our total (pre-tax, pre-tip) bill was $44.50. This was fair for our order of:
* Hendrick’s & tonic
* Margarita (watermelon)
* Nachos w/ grilled chicken
* Finn’s burger

Adult Beverages:
The Gin & Tonic wasn’t too bad. The watermelon margarita was a bit strong and tart.

Food:
I felt the nachos were your average, pub-style nachos. Not too bad, but nothing great. I’d order them again if I were in the area and needed a quick snack. Jennie thought they were lackluster altogether and would not.
We both felt the burger was OK, at best. The bun and toppings (LTPO) were all good. The meat was quite reminiscent of a lower-quality, frozen, store-bought patty. It was juicy, but there wasn’t any flavor to it. The side of onion rings that came with the burger were quite delicious… the best part of the meal. They were thick cut in a tasty, thinner batter.

Service:
Our server was also the bartender. She was friendly and attentive. She also took our order, including the changes, from memory. This always impresses me.

Overall, it’s a decent little local place to stop in for a quick bite, a drink, and maybe shoot some pool, but we won’t drive the hour again to make a special trip there. We’re giving it 3/5 stars, as that’s the average/median on the available scale.

Finnegans Pub is tucked away in a nice spot of downtown Hudson, MA. The food was delicious. We had a fishermans platter, fried clams, and baked scallops. Everything was cooked just right. It was late afternoon, so it wasn’t busy at all. The bar had a few regulars who were enjoying their time. The TVs are running different sports games and the volume is not loud at all. There are two billiard tables in nice condition. The bar selection appeared to be extensive, along with a long online list of whiskies. Beer is primarily bottled, with a few on tap. The atmosphere is pleasant and the waitress was very attentive.

Attended a trivia night and enjoyed the “mixed grill” dish — steak tips, shrimp, potatoes, and broccoli (pictured). It was very good! The vinyl trivia was a cool activity and the atmosphere was casual and fun.

Also stopped by on new year’s eve recently, there was live music and a DJ and the service was great even though it was a busy night.

They’ve made some updates and improvements recently. Worth a visit!

I love a nice neighborhood Irish Pub when this place has that neighborly feel even though it’s in a really nice part of hudson. Got to love downtown Hudson service was great, nice local crowd. Food is pretty good

I was there recently for St. Patrick’s weekend and had the pastrami Reuben on special. I was surprised that the Reuben had coleslaw and pickles on it instead of sauerkraut. The fries were fine, nothing special, and the brownie was very good.
The atmosphere is very casual. It feels like a local bar that people can visit and feel comfortable in.

A++ for the seafood. Lobster rolls and fried whole belly clams are amazing! The chicken parm sub was so-so. The place is dark and dingy and not very welcoming. Could use some upgrades. Service was good.

My husband and I went for our first lobster salad roll of the season last week. Had no problem at all that it is $9 more than last year, but had a major problem that the lobster is no longer left in big chunks as if it had just come from the shell, but is now “minced” and looks like red tuna fish salad. DISGUSTING!!!!
I know it’s under new ownership this year, but people are NOT going to pay $25 for a small lobster salad roll that is in no where compatible to what a lobster salad should look like.

My family and I stopped in for dinner tonight. We were looking for “cheap eats” after roller skating, but the food quality was far from “cheap.”

The bartender came over and took our drink order. Soon after that, we order our meals. We ordered mozzarella sticks for the table, my husband got a large order of garlic buffalo wings, my daughter got a small chicken tender order, and I ordered a burger with fries.

We received our drinks right away (soda, water, and lemonade). Within 15 minutes, our food came, and it looked delicious! Mozzarella sticks looked homemade and tasted great. They came with marinara and vodka sauce. I wasn’t a big fan of the vodka sauce.

The burger was open faced with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, american cheese, Mayo on the side, and french fries. The burger was well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and roll was fluffy with sesame seeds. The French fries were perfect as well, with a little bit of seasoning.

My husband’s boneless wings were very good – not too spicy. Big portions as well. My daughter’s chicken tenders (same as husband’s, but plain) were crunchy and delicious.

We were very impressed and satisfied, as it was the first thing we ate all day. We highly recommend Finnegan’s Pub!

Really loved this place. Very down to earth, family friendly atmosphere with televisions and 2 pool tables. Our server was terrific and took care of us. The food was served hot and made accurately based on our orders. Took a little longer then expected, but was well worth the wait. We noticed a lot of folks having wings, so we ordered some. They were great. Juicy and spicy and served with blue cheese, like they should be. My daughter had the pork loin sandwich, the Hawkeye, and she loved it! I had the Shepherds Pie, which was plain and the potatoes on top were chunky, but it was good. We will absolutely come back if in the area!
