Such a great local spot for our first night in the area. The owners were incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food and drinks, especially the beer and cider, were excellent. The views of the river and the chance to see wildlife made the experience even more memorable. I would definitely recommend it!

Upon arrival this was a very inviting place with an excellent and attentive bartender. I order my beer and a salad and waited out on the deck with the beautiful views. The salad came out almost an hour later after I i had checked on it earlier. There was a small catered gathering inside which consumed all the kitchen help. Ended up taking my salad to go but should have just walked out because it wasn’t worth the time and money spent.

“Hidden Gem” in downtown Elmira! The establishment is located in a beautifully restored historic building, and the signage is pretty subtle, so you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled to spot it! Great place to bring guests who enjoy sampling local beers, wines, and ciders. Small menu, but very well prepared and presented foods. The FLXHouse also provides an outdoor deck with seating that overlooks the Chemung River. Excellent service, knowledgeable staff, and friendly patrons. They are a little pricey, but I think that helps keep the “riff-raff” out!

We visited for lunchtime eats. The service was fantastic. The food looks pretty and is just as tasty. You gotta have the potachos. The outdoor area will be really nice when it warms up. The beer selection is all NY, and quite varied. I love the focus on NY beers, wines, and cheeses.

Delightful craft beer-centered pub on the west side of Elmira. Not noticing the parking lot, I still found street parking no problem and walked into what looks like a hotel or a multifamily residence, right on the Mighty Chemung River.
As it was rather early on a Friday afternoon, I noticed few others there for the beer. Something on the order of 30 taps, with way more focus on cider, fruit beers, and sours than I prefer, but still plenty of New York beer on offer, and quite inexpensive as well. The bartender was chatty and gave a little history lesson as I enjoyed a Wagner Valley black lager and Hothouse porter and wandered onto the back deck for pretty views of Clinton Island in the river. So very pleased to find this great little pub!

Bill was great to talk to, the chicken wings grilled on the charcoal grill smelled amazing. We had the Cubano sandwich that was huge and delicious! To go with lunch there was a great selection of craft beers. The back patio looking over the Chemung River was a very scenic view. We are definitely coming back here every chance we get!

We’ve eaten here many, many times. We’ve never had a bad experience, but our times eating out on the deck have been memorable and wonderful! The view is gorgeous, and the breeze off the river makes it comfortable even on a hot summer day. The deck is designed perfectly to provide shade where you’re eating, but give you a great view at the same time.
The drinks are exceptional. My husband enjoys beer, and there are so many great choices. I enjoy cider and wine, and there are plenty of options for me as well. I especially appreciate that I’m able to try new ciders I haven’t even heard of, and I have found several new favorites by doing that here.
The food is excellent, and our favorite Items are the street corn dip, the pretzel, and the flatbreads. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the flatbreads, but my eight year-old daughter prefers the chicken bacon ranch, and our whole family enjoys the everything one!
We can’t recommend this place enough! Recently, I wanted to order something to go, and I couldn’t find the menu online anywhere. It turned out, upon speaking with the staff when I arrived, that their website was hacked by someone who was upset that the owners are not originally from our town. That’s awful, so I wanted to provide a menu for people who are searching for it. Someone suggested I should write a review here so that people could find it. I took photos of the menu that they handed me in the restaurant, not realizing that no prices were listed. I don’t know if I got a rogue menu or if they don’t normally put the prices, so all I can do is suggest that you contact them to find out how much something costs if you need to know that before you go to the restaurant. I do hope that the lack of prices doesn’t turn anyone off from going here: it’s definitely worth a visit!

This is the most charming neighborhood tavern . The food is terrific and there is a wide variety of beer and wine. The interior is warm and welcoming and the view overlooking the Chemung River is beautiful, particularly at sunset. Heaters and a propane fireplace make it cozy even when it gets chilly.
We have been here several times and it is consistently good. The staff is always attentive.
Chef Glenn made grilled chicken wings. The grilling gave the wings a nice flavor and we choose traditional buffalo sauce. The blue cheese dressing was delicious with tons of blue cheese chunks. YUM.
The spinach artichoke dip is also delicious. Wish there was more of it.
The PRETZEL is enormous! Crisp outside and fluffy inside with a generous sprinkle of salt. The pretzel comes with a nice mustard sauce, a cheese sauce and nutella. 3 of us shared this pretzel it is that big!
And the best for last….. PICKLE PIZZA! It is actually Glenns Pickle flatbread. dont knock it until you’ve tried it! Of course you need to like dill pickles!

Cidery with an amazing selection of cider and delicious food! Dry and sweet ciders to pick from. We also had soup and sandwiches and everything was fresh. Inside and outside seating with beautiful views.
