Delightful craft beer-centered pub on the west side of Elmira. Not noticing the parking lot, I still found street parking no problem and walked into what looks like a hotel or a multifamily residence, right on the Mighty Chemung River.

Bill was great to talk to, the chicken wings grilled on the charcoal grill smelled amazing. We had the Cubano sandwich that was huge and delicious! To go with lunch there was a great selection of craft beers. The back patio looking over the Chemung River was a very scenic view. We are definitely coming back here every chance we get!

Update to review: they are under new management and unfortunately you can tell. The first impression of the new owner was she took away our food menu before we ordered (because other customers needed a food menu) and then our food order happened to be sold out. Surprised the owner did not what was sold out or not when we ordered our food with her. Extremely disappointed. The only thing keeping this from a one star review was the great bartender we had.

Seems very kid-friendly. Which is not what I’m looking for in a tap house, strangely. Not somewhere to go if you want to have a quiet time. Lots of children everywhere, even though it was during a weekday. Was forced out by some rowdy and misbehaved kids. Did not enjoy my time unfortunately.

“Hidden Gem” in downtown Elmira! The establishment is located in a beautifully restored historic building, and the signage is pretty subtle, so you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled to spot it! Great place to bring guests who enjoy sampling local beers, wines, and ciders. Small menu, but very well prepared and presented foods. The FLXHouse also provides an outdoor deck with seating that overlooks the Chemung River. Excellent service, knowledgeable staff, and friendly patrons. They are a little pricey, but I think that helps keep the “riff-raff” out!

I’ve been working with Finger Lakes House by hosting their weekly “Tacos & Trivia” event on Tuesdays for over a year now. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with them! Great atmosphere, even better people! The food is also awesome and they have a huge variety of beer and wine from the Finger Lakes area. Looking forward to our continued relationship into the future!

We visited for lunchtime eats. The service was fantastic. The food looks pretty and is just as tasty. You gotta have the potachos. The outdoor area will be really nice when it warms up. The beer selection is all NY, and quite varied. I love the focus on NY beers, wines, and cheeses.

This is the most charming neighborhood tavern . The food is terrific and there is a wide variety of beer and wine. The interior is warm and welcoming and the view overlooking the Chemung River is beautiful, particularly at sunset. Heaters and a propane fireplace make it cozy even when it gets chilly.
