It was our second time there and again a great experience! The staff took the time to suggest whiskeys and bourbons based on our personal preferences, explaining each option with real knowledge and passion, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food and service were excellent, the brisket was especially delicious, and the appetisers and salad were full of flavour. Everything from the atmosphere to the attention to detail was spot on. Highly recommended!

We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful experience.
We chose the tasting menu, and the food was excellent from start to finish. Every dish was delicious, beautifully prepared, and very generous in portion size.
The atmosphere was warm and pleasant, perfect for a special occasion, and the service was truly kind and attentive.
Prices are absolutely worth it for the quality and overall experience.
We will definitely come back.

My wife and I visited Fine Mess for the first time a month ago and had a great time. We ordered the tasting menu and despite the relatively short notice, they were able to accommodate my vegetarian wife. Some of the pics are the vegetarian dishes she was served in lieu of the meat dishes.
Each dish was so interesting while being still acknowledging the Texas bbq influence. I especially enjoyed the house hot honey chicken, house cured ham, and short rib dishes. This was our first time trying a tasting menu and while we didn’t like everything, we were even impressed with those dishes. It’s a weird experience tasting something that you know you don’t care for but still appreciate. I felt that was a testament to the skill of the chef team.
Finally, special shout out to our server. I wish I could remember his name, because he was excellent and really elevated the overall experience. Knowledgeable, personable, and very helpful (we needed to move tables mid-meal, because we sat next to the smoke room on a warm day and it got too hot for me).

Not recommended if you have food allergies!
We went for dinner, choosing a meet restaurant thinking will work good since we have fish allergies. Seems many of the meet dishes and sides have fish sauces. The team was repetitive on explaining what we can not eat but not willing to make ANY changes to make this still a welcoming and testy experience.
Also the rib was too salty, in a manner it was not eatable. We took 2 of those. We were party of 4. Too salty for all of us. And I like salt! The team response was it’s salty because this is how it’s cooked. Well if that’s true – warn the people before ordering… or exchange the dish..
Anyways for me it was not a good experience I will not come back.

A lot of things changed since the last time I visited. They now offer a tasting menu and some dishes a la carte. There is a pairing option as well. Some of the dishes were superb like the Prive option in the tasting menu or the Anolini, the foie gras welcom soup, the brisket etc. Some other dishes were good and a couple of them were just flat and uninteresting like the salad or the pie. Staff were welcoming and explained the dishes well. Interesting selection of cocktails and wines.

This was our second time visiting the restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. We had the autumn tasting menu which included all of these dishes below (not the drinks). Flavors were amazing, portions were satisfying and in general it was an excellent experience. Every single dish was delicious, seasoned perfectly and had multiple textures for a complete experience. The dessert at the end stole the show, very unique and extremely tasty. Very fairly priced for what you get and I would definitely recommend that you visit. For the wine and old fashioned lovers there are also wine and old fashioned tasting menus if you want to pair with your meals that are very well priced.

A world-class experience. We did the tasting menu at the suggestion of our excellent waiter and were rewarded with an over-abundance of some incredible food. The fois gras soup starter was unforgettable, as was the Wagyu tartare cannolis, the smoked cod, the short ribs (so good that it overshadowed the brisket, which I went there for), and the cocoa choux dessert. The other dishes were awesome in their own rights. Wine selection was excellent, and the bartender made a custom Old Fashioned that was sublime. Worthy of more than simply being on the Michelin Guide, in my opinion. It is a decadent, excessive meal, fair warning – but I wouldn’t go to Athens without trying Chef Kaperda’s food again.

Don’t let the name fool you. The Fine Mess Smokehouse is anything but. We enjoyed the autumn fine tasting and old-fashioned pairing menu. The food and cocktails were creatively designed, tasteful and beautifully presented. The servers were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I particularly enjoyed the hot honey fried chicken, beetroot and radicchio salad, Texas toast and low and slow short rib. The old-fashioned cocktails with whiskey, bourbon or rye beautifully complimented the food. This was a lovely, fine dining fine iron experience.

I had a fun night with the tasting menu and the Old Fashioned pairing (whiskey cocktails). The food was a bit too subtle on the smoky side for me, but the dishes were beautifully arranged on the plate and tasted good. I also found out that salty crusts are not really my thing, but the whiskey cocktails were definitely the highlight! The service was incredible!
