Who burned my tortilla chips???. LOL
absolutely delicious food. atmosphere could be a little more cheery, and I think that would have a lot to do with whoever Is handling the bar.. Definitely needs a little more love as far as customer service but overall this place has a lot of potential. EdithEsquire

Came here while on vacation with my husband for dinner and twice for breakfast. The service was fantastic as well as the food. Fidel was super friendly, kind, and brightened our vacation so much. He is very knowledgeable about the area and wanted to steer us in the right direction when visiting places. His service was outstanding and his team was awesome, too. Next time we vacation in Monterey we hope to see him again! The food, as I mentioned earlier, was fantastic. I got the cauliflower steak and was surprised how good it was. My husband got the award-winning clam chowder bread bowl and he said it was the best he’s ever had. Normally restaurants will load up their chowder with potatoes, but in his bowl, there were plenty of clams. We finished off the night with the chocolate cake and a scoop of ice cream to pair with the wine we brought. Amazing combination.

Thank you to Fidel and his team for making our dining experiences unforgettable!

The breakfast buffet was also amazing. They had a made-to-order omelet and waffle bar as well as a ton of other items in the buffet, including: sausage, bacon, eggs, roasted potatoes, corn beef hash, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, muffins, donuts, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal and toppings, hard boiled eggs, and more.

We’re currently staying at the Monterey Marriott, and decided to eat at the hotel restaurant for dinner last night.

What a surprise it was! The maitre d’ was a kind, sweet man who immediately sensed that our little one was on the spectrum. He gave our kiddo a dolphin plushy and some crayons, before seating us in the most amazing corner booth ever. Junior loved the lighting and the energy.

Our server was equally nice. He grabbed us some piping hot chicken fingers and fries straightaway, so mom, big brother, and I could enjoy a little quiet time while we snacked on a delicious cheese plate appetizer.

Big brother ordered the kids’ burger sliders and thoroughly enjoyed them.

Mom and I both ordered red meat entrees and were super happy with the results. I had the ribeye, and mama bear had the skirt steak. Both were absolute winners. Delicious, appropriate portions, and very much worth the money.

We had a very lovely time overall. A nice, long, happy, dinner, like we’ve come to expect whenever we visit Monterey. Fin and Field is a treasure, and we will definitely be adding it to our list of kid-friendly fine-dining experiences.

5 stars, all around!

My husband and I stayed at the Marriot for 3 nights. We ate the buffet breakfast 2 days and regular menu breakfast the 3rd day. Everything was delicious. The buffet had a large variety to choose from.

We also had multiple cocktails throughout our stay and appetizers. Everything was great! Service was great too!

Nice interior and working hours, but so terrible kitchen. I ordered two dishes, one was BBQ chicken pizza. There was zero BBQ sauce, extremely dry food, impossible to eat. Really worst pizza I ever had in USA. Better choose any fast food than this “restaurant”. And they took 50$ for such bad dinner

We come here everyone we visit Monterey. We love the bar. Angelica, Connor, and Ricky are very engaging and enhance the experience. The cheese platter and burgers are great.

17Mar23 – Guinness was excellently poured, no shamrock though (“The Brit” down the way didn’t manage it either.)
What was extremely opportunistic was that bartend Connor was creating his own version of Brazilian Lemonade and I was there to experience it. Fresh whole limes blended with other ingredients (like rum ) – so refreshing and doses out a ton of vitamin C! Faint green color for St Paddy’s Day too! ☘️ Great chaser to my Guinness vitamin G.
The end of my “Guinness-settling” video at the end caught Connor holding the blender jar full of fresh limes (before his mad skills drink sorcery!)
This place is awesome! Glad I stopped by!

Chowder was a 10. Absolutely sick (in a good way)

Ravioli was a 8. Points lost for not searing the scallops and leaving the tails on the shrimp

Blueberry trace was a 5. Super sweet “girlie drink”

Old fashioned is a 8.5-9. Large format ice, luxardo, buffalo trace, alcohol forward, orange zest

Bloody Mary was stellar. Nice mix, tajin rim, enough veggies for a meal 🙂 Staff were all very attentive and nice. Definitely found my new regular spot when I’m craving a Bloody Mary
