My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant and its casual, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The cocktais were well crafted and their presentation was as delightful and the drinks themselves.
We both ordered mofongo, one with shrimp and the other one with steak. They were delicious and beautifully plated.
Our server was competent and attentive.
They were playing Latin music, which was pleasant and not too loud. A DJ was setting up his equipment while we were there. We are told they have dancing late in the evening.
We are planning to go back and try other items on the menu.

Incredible and delicious Latin food! Every plate and drink is presented so beautifully. I ordered the seafood mofongo which came with shrimp, scallops and a full lobster tail on top! The mojitos are made with real fruits and the pina colada in the full pineapple made me feel like I was on an island. Delicious food and the prefect place for a date night, major celebrations or just because you need a great meal. The staff is very nice, music and setting were perfect. Highly recommend!

It is a small but cozy place with a good ambiance and amazing vibes. Staff and owners are friendly and from my experience, I felt the love they have for service to their customers. Food and drinks were a totally different experience because I personally had never tasted anything similar. Drinks are made with natural ingredients (real fruits), a well-balanced amount of alcohol, and a beautiful Caribbean presentation as well as the food that is not far from excellence on a plate. Thanks to the bartender for giving us great service we really had a good time and thanks to the owners for the treatment given. We will be back.

Had the pleasure of trying Filo’s Latin bar & restaurant in New Milford, CT. Let me tell you, this churrasco dish was one for the books. It was the biggest skirt steak topped with homemade chimichurri sauce. Complete with a pot of yellow rice and juicy beans. Every thing was perfect cooked and full of flavor. The giant toastones with shrimp made for the perfect start to our meal. The mojitos were made with the freshest fruits, the pina colada served in a WHOLE pineapple was my favorite. Great friendly service and a family friendly atmosphere. They also had a live DJ playing the perfect tunes. I can’t wait to go back and try more!

10/10! I loved my passion fruit margarita. The food was delicious. The chicken wings were so tasty; definitely a must-have as an appetizer. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. This is a great place to bring family and friends!

I decided to try this place because the photos and atmosphere online looked nice, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The food is extremely overpriced — I spent around $200 for two people. The steak was very small for the $50 price tag and only came with one side. If you want more than two items on your plate, you have to pay extra, which adds up quickly.

On top of that, the quality was not good. The food was bland and honestly one of the least enjoyable meals I’ve had. Both my partner and I felt unwell right after leaving, which was very concerning.

There are also hidden fees. They added something called a fillos charge just for being there, and on top of that you’re expected to pay additional tips. While our waitress was very nice, the extra charges made the bill even more frustrating.

The environment wasn’t much better — the music was too loud and the seating was very cramped, leaving little privacy. Overall, it felt like the place is more about aesthetics for photos than actually providing a good dining experience. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially given the high prices.

Such a great meal at Filos! We appreciated that the menu had a lot of variety, and their presentation of dishes were impressive. Highly recommend getting the sampler platter for an appetizer to try a little bit of everything! Absolutely beautiful inside, and definitely lively with the music. The food came out quickly, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Definitely a great new addition to New Milford!

Great food and service, loved the atmosphere! This area has definitely been in need of some high quality food. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the best dish was the oxtail which was falling off the bone. Later in the evening, they turn up the music and dim the lights for a great bar atmosphere. The portions were large, between two people we shared an appetizer, extra side, and single entree and had to take some home. Highly recommended!

We were excited to try Filos Latin Fusion after seeing about it on Facebook. It’s a stylish little spot—cozy but not cramped. The decor is modern, colorful, and fun, and even though our table was on the smaller side, the space felt comfortable.

We started with some of their cocktails—my mom had a dirty martini, and I tried the passionfruit mojito. They were decent, not amazing, but fine.

To start, we shared the Mexicana a la Dominicana. The pork belly was crispy and delicious, but I didn’t like the plantain base. It was too thick and kind of bland. I think it would’ve been better on a tostone. That said, the portion was generous (especially the guac!), though my mom thought there could’ve been a bit more pork.

For mains, we tried the ribs with tostones and the roasted half chicken with rice and beans, plus an order of cassava fries to split. The chicken was a star—super flavorful, though a little dry. Some garlic sauce or even some mayochup to dip it would’ve taken it to the next level. The rice and beans were simple but perfect. The ribs, however, were just okay. They were smothered in BBQ sauce (which tasted good) but the meat itself was a little tough and lacked seasoning. We ended up using the sauce to dip the cassava fries and tostones.

Speaking of those cassava fries—WOW. Best I’ve ever had. Super crispy with amazing flavor. The tostones were fine, pretty standard.

For dessert, we tried the flan and the tres leches. The flan had a firmer texture than I’m used to (not my favorite), but my mom loved it. The tres leches, though was excellent.

All the portions were big—honestly a little too big for our tiny table—and everything was plated beautifully. The service was great too; our server was super attentive and kind. That definitely helped justify the prices a bit more.

While I didn’t love everything we had, I still think Filos is a great option for a special night out. The vibe is fun, the food is good, and the overall experience makes it worth a try even though it’s a little pricey. The place turns into a club with a DJ around 9 which sounds fun, our server said it gets lively.

Overall, I’d give Filos an 8/10. I’d definitely come back once in a while, especially to see what the late-night scene is like!

Just had an amazing ceviche, right here in the middle of New Milford. It was huge, with tons of fresh shrimp.. Tasted fresh with a side of fresh onions and jalapeños. Delicious.
I was made to feel welcome and appreciated for visiting. With the chef giving me some extra sauce to take home and try.

This place, is new, and quiet, so support it. And know their food is made with care and their guests are made to feel special. I will be back. They have some genuine and authentic items on their menu. Even though its decor is modern inside, it still manages to feel familiar and local.
