This is such a great little Italian restaurant. The food was delicious. We had the bruschetta and I had avocado penne. My husband had a fish dish, I can’t remember what it was, but he loved it. It’s a lovely atmosphere inside, airy and relaxing. There is an outdoor seating area and an enclosed outdoor area. The service was great. This place is best for groups of 2 or 4 but could seat slightly larger as well. We walked in on a Thursday night without reservations.

We had an excellent experience dining here. As a vegetarian, I’m always curious if an Italian place has good veg options. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and I thought it was excellent. I loved the crispy edges and thought the sauce was so fresh. My friends had the two types of gnocchi and they were both awesome too.

An excellent Italian restaurant in Slubtown of Portland Oregon. I have bee coming here for sometime. The food here is excellent their menu includes many dishes of pasta, meat and fish. Menus items on the many have good variety unlike many other Italian restaurants in Portland. Their service is really good, this is the only restaurant in Portland that I don’t have to pour wine myself. (I find very odd that I have to pour wine to my glass myself when a bottle of wine is ordered. So far other establishments do not even try to pour their customers’ glass.) My pet peeve here. Anyway I don’t have to pour myself.
The appetizer is always good, I had a gnocchi, was so good, my husband has a lamb, desert was yummy. I will be returning here for many more times.

My wife and I had an amazing dining experience. We chose to try the tasting menu. The gnocchi and lamb were amazing. Calamari is typically run of the mill for me, but it was tender and I believe the best I have eaten. To top it off, the service was great!

I liked the settings. Service was good and waiters were nice and friendly. We ordered filet bites, Zucchini Carpaccio, Potato Croquettes, Bombolotti Sugo di Carne, Linguini Prawns Fra Diavolo lamb chops. Filet bites tasted the best out of all the foods that we ordered. The rest tasted just ok, nothing to make us come back again.

This was a delicious dinner. We had the fried goat cheese, lamb gnoochi, and new York strup. All were well balanced and good portions. Alex was so helpful and knowledgeable. Wonderful first visit, we’ll definitely be back! Also they had air-conditioning huge plus in this heat wave!!

Another good happy hour in the neighborhood! I had an excellent Italian wine for $7 a glass and when you sit at the bar you get a complimentary bruschetta which was delicious. I ordered the Gnocchi for my entree and it was also very good.

We had a private party with a group of 14. The owner served us her selections family style, and everything we ate was perfection. Beautiful, delicious food and a wonderful cozy atmosphere. 10/10

We are very disappointed. Today was the second time we have tried to come after checking their facebook and not seeing anything about closing early. We purposely chose our hotel across the street so we could have dinner at Fillmore, and once again they are closed (this time before 630). If you cant keep to your posted hours Id recommend changing to reservation only. You got three stars based on previous great experiences. However, we will no longer be going out of our way to stay close to your establishment when we are working in town, since it isnt possible to make a reservation time when you dont know when your project will be finished, and you cant be relied upon to follow your posted hours.

I was brought here on a secret date night by my husband and could not have been more pleasantly surprised.
I had the Bruschettini as a cocktail. It felt like summer. Tasted slightly like a tomato, with a drizzle of olive oil and a shake of cracked pepper in a glass.
We then had the Brussels Sprouts (that hint of honey was divine!), and the Burrata salad. That salad l was lovely. Tomatoes that popped with flavor, a sharp and salty prosciutto, and the mellowness of the Burrata all balanced each other well.
To finish off, we had the Penne Avocado and the Rigatoni Speck. The Rigatoni? To die for. Pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauce was creamy and flavorful, and the chunks of prosciutto gave things a sharp bite. I was full halfway through and still ate the whole thing because I couldn’t get enough.
Many thanks to our lovely server, who was attentive and warm. I didn’t catch his name, but he was friendly and engaging and even brought us a little bruschetta bite on the house while we waited for our main courses.
Chef, thank you for coming and checking on us, and for the amazing tiramisu. The chocolate chips and marscapone were a fantastic counter to the bitter chocolate. A flavorful and delicious end to the evening!
The vibes were immaculate, the music fun and not too loud, and the staff was courteous.
I highly recommend Fillmore Trattoria, and can’t wait to come back for more date nights!
