BBQ was very good but a little pricey. burnt end dinner with beans and potato salad was $26.99, Burnt end sandwich and fries $16.99. Actually more food than in the picture, I ate a bit before I took the photo very nice atmosphere. Will definitely go back.

Unique atmosphere of a converted gas station for indoor dining is creative and fun.The outdoor tables are great in nice weather.We love the 4 bbq sauce options. Beware the High Octane Sauce is SPICY.
The smoked meats are always really delicious and the sides are a big hit with our family. There’s something for everyone. We like the takeout option too. We havrnt tried the delivery yet. Service has always been great. Our family highly recommends this place.

We came to the KC area to see the attractions and have some great BBQ. After a full day of touring, we headed to Lee’s Summit Main Street shopping area and saw the cute Filling Station BBQ. It was hot so we were concerned about having to sit outside but once inside there were several tables to sit and it was cool…the temp was cool and the gas station nostalgia on the walls were cool! We ordered Burnt End sandwich and Brisket Sandwiches. Both had excellent smoke flavor while tender and juicy on a fresh artisan bun. There were 4 Sauces – Vinegar, KC Original, Sweet and Hot. We found original to be best accompaniment.We were offered a taste test of the sides prior to ordering and both the potato salad and broccoli salad had a fresh homemade taste. Our orders came out quickly and the host/ cashier came by to offer drink refills. We were completely satisfied and fueled up for more sightseeing after dining at The Filling Station.

I came here as part of BBQ tour around KC and tried the brisket sandwich with onion rings.
I sat outside and loved the smell of the smoke coming off of the smoker! They use a hickory wood.
The brisket had a nice smoke ring. Very little fat on the sandwich. The sandwich comes with sauce on the side which I appreciate! The brisket was a little dry and didn’t have much of a smoke flavor.
The onion rings were good! They’re hand battered and then seasoned with a dry BBQ season once fried. I dipped them in the homemade ranch, which didn’t disappoint!
The menu looked fantastic and definitely worth a visit when shopping in downtown Lees Summit!

Probably some of the best BBQ I have ever had. It’s packed with flavor. The BBQ sauce is also amazing dynamic flavor profile the spicy is actually spicy, they aren’t too sweet. Only reason why I’m rating it 4 stars is because of the price. If it was cheaper it would deserve the highest of ratings.

Ribs, burnt ends, potato salad, broccoli salad, onion rings, & sweet potato fries were great! Served quickly & piping hot. Lady that took our order was one of the friendliest people I’ve met & the decor is awesome. My son & I will definitely be going again & I’d highly recommend!

You’ll get better bbq from the dumpster behind Jazzy B’s. The ribs were very tough. The burnt ends were dry and had a sour flavor. The potato salad I’m guessing was store bought based on the generic, bland taste. I’m pretty sure they just mix in chopped up pickles and celery. The beans were a soupy mess with the same nasty flavor as the burnt ends. No redeeming qualities with this place.
