We’ve been going here for years. I’ve been ordering food for different occasions like birthdays, holidays, or any event and they never disappointed me. They are always ready for pick up. The food is freshly cooked and ready to pick up at whatever time you requested. The food is always hot when you pick it up. What I like the most is the food is consistent. They taste the same all the time; it’s always delicious. When I go to other Filipino restaurants, you can tell the cook is different because of the way they cut their meats and veggies or how it tastes. With Filipino Grill, the taste and the way they prepare it is always consistent. The style is from the northern part of the Philippines (Ilocano). Just be prepared if the place gets busy for a long line. The place is small, and only there’s only few tables.

Keep in mind that this place is a hole-in-the-wall. Not a huge place that offers an array of gourmet Filipino dishes. But, it’s enough to get your food fix on some of the basic traditional Filipino dishes, desserts, etc. It could also be a dish to take to work, or maybe something to get for dinner because you were just too tired to cook. Whatever your reason for making it over to Dona’s Filipino Grill, I really think there’s a dish or two out there that you will like or grow to love. I always say, don’t knock it, until you try it. I am now a fan of this place.
Another reminder, Dona’s Filipino Grill is not over board, nor is it under. All I know is that once a food tray is empty, the cook may not replenish that dish for the day. I’m reminded by my daughter, if you want to get the best selection – right off the grill- best to make it over earlier than later. Of course, there may be popular dishes that, more than likely, will be replenished. Otherwise, good luck, if you make it after 4pm.
For big birthday parties, my daughter has ordered large trays of lumpia. Make sure you call ahead of time.
I usually prefer not to read reviews until after I’ve visited a place. So,
I would say, it won’t hurt to give Dona’s Filipino Grill a try
Oh, and please don’t compare this place to Tita’s Kitchen …not fair

My mom bought the grilled chicken and lumpia. Both had large pieces for about the same amount as other places, and were very yummy!

No one helped me until I rang the bell. When the lady showed up, she acted like I was disturbing her and didn’t say hello. The food was served nearly cold and made me sick. I will never go back!

It’s a hidden gem. It’s a mom and pop shop, it’s absolutely delicious! My friend was telling me about this location and I decided to go before they close. I got some of the noodles, sausages, bread and beef as well as two canned sodas (I don’t know the exact name of some of the dishes because I kind of just took whatever they had left) such great portions and I will 100% be back so I can see what else they have. I spent less than $40
