If you’re someone who values locally owned businesses that put heart into everything they do, Filigree Bakery is a gem you’ll want to discover.
I had heard whispers about Filigree’s amazing treats, but I also needed to find something gluten-free for my wife, who has celiac. I wanted both quality and care — and wasn’t sure I’d find both in one place.
From the moment I walked in, I felt welcome. I mentioned that I wanted to try some of their most popular items but was also looking for gluten-free options. The owner herself came out to chat with me. We had a heartfelt conversation about the bakery, the community they serve, and their mission to create the perfect dessert for life’s special moments.
She listened. She guided me. And she pointed me toward a few perfect options for both me and my wife. I never felt rushed — just genuinely cared for.
Not only is the shop storybook perfect, from its charming exterior to the cozy interior, but the food is unforgettable. The flavors are rich, balanced, and crafted with love. I even found myself savoring each bite and saving some for later because I didn’t want the experience to end.
If you love boutique shops that offer authentic, bespoke desserts made with purpose and passion, you’ll love Filigree Bakery. They want to partner with you to create delicious desserts that become part of your life’s great events.
I’m already planning our next visit with my wife to grab more of their crème brûlée, cheesecake, and lemon bars — which I know I’ll be craving again soon.
I questioned about using a card that didn’t have a chip and she just walked away like I didn’t have another after telling me chip or tap. I wasn’t offered a receipt either just walked away. It felt like she didn’t want to speak to me let alone do business with me.
I drove an hour round trip to the bakery in attempt to allow my friend to try the items and to have another option of a place to order treats for her event but honestly the macaroons were super small, the creme brulee was way too burnt so it messed up my taste buds where usually it is one of my favorite desserts. She didn’t care for the filling all being the same basic bland filling, felt like icing and very little filling. Not like the other bakeries we have experienced.
The cheesecake was pretty but I didn’t even want to eat it after the way I was treated. I did take a bite, creamy and bland. Someone likes them since it is still in business but how I was treated, I won’t be back to the location, she wouldn’t care. I do however recommend the macaroon bar! They were a lot nicer, the treats are bigger, and the fillings have variety and flavor plus balanced. These felt as loveless as the experience inside. It’s pretty but it’s a very cold stale vibe inside this place. Zero out of ten, I do not recommend.
