Filibuster cocktail bar & lounge in downtown Olympia is now serving craft cocktails and unfussy, rustic dishes intended to be shared. We are located in Olympia’s Historic Downtown District in the historic Security Building across from the HARLEQUIN production theatre. The new space offers a casual chic vibe and also features a seating area within an old bank vault. It is a great place to just sit and chill and soak up the atmosphere. We are a short walk from the The Washington Center for the Performing Arts, historic Capitol Theater and HARLEQUIN production theatre, so visit us before or after the shows at these famous performing arts theatres or whenever you are in downtown Olympia, WA!

If you are looking for a chill place to get 10/10 craft cocktails, you have to go to Filibuster! My fiancé and I went here to try out some unique cocktails for our upcoming wedding menu. Samuel was an absolute expert in creating beautiful and delicious cocktails to try out in preparation of our wedding. He went above and beyond in helping us with this experience and I can’t say enough great things about this bar and their staff!

Staff was hostile. Sam has always been great but this night one bar tender was present and seemed nice then there was some one else at the bar that seemed to have a chip on their shoulder. It felt they wanted to start a fight. It was very hostile and we left. I’ve been in here many times before and brought people to support this establishment but after tonight’s interaction I won’t be doing that again. Beware the staff might try to fight you. Update: to reply that’s actually not what happened. Your employee was instigating. As we were leaving employee was also calling names and being belligerent. Your establishment wasn’t a safe space or accepting last night.

Walked into this place randomly on a Saturday evening. This place takes pride in their craft. Our drinks were delicious. My fave was called Death in the Afternoon. Plenty of comfortable seating. Great date bar. We tried the jalapeño poppers and almost ordered more as they were fresh made and delicious.

A hidden gem of creative cocktails! The Wild Hare blew my mind, and if you can handle a lil spice, you’ll love it, too. My partner got the Death In The Afternoon which did not disappoint. The bartenders are super friendly and ensure you’re having a good time/enjoying your treats. We had the pleasure of being served by Sam who was a delight. The atmosphere is laid back with hints of whimsy, and the sound system is incredible (for the music lovers). If you’re looking for cocktails in Olympia, don’t get fomo and come to Filibuster ~

Very old town, original little place, great location, fun staff to talk to. They have a few food items on their menu. The poppers were a good little appetizer, and the grapefruit drop oh my goodness, delicious and refreshing, not very tart, and the sugar rim gave it just the right amount of sweetness!

In a lovely historical space where Dillinger’s used to be. Not as busy or crowded as Dillingers, so you might actually have a chance of scoring the tables in the old bank vault or in the nook in the back. The Grapefruit Drop was a nice departure from ye olde Lemon Drop. My partner had the NA Coconut Cucumber Splash. I always appreciate when places go to the trouble of delighting the non-drinkers among us with creative inventions. The staff were engaged in cheerful conversation with the people at the bar, but we enjoyed the dimly lit booth seating by the door.
