In fact it even smells good. Remember back in the day food would smell so good youd have to fight to make it home without eating it? Well for the first time in a long time this happened.
I received an update from the Riverside County Environmental Health Dept.
Here’s what they found: spoiled produce, backed up floor drain, fruit flies in their storage areas, fixes to pest-prevention devices at the back door and drive-thru windows, storing raw meat above produce to (which may cause contamination), not adequately labeling food containers, and unclean restaurant equipment and shelving.
Tuesday, August 12 about 1:15pm.
I was heading over to Filiberto’s to pick up my order that I placed via the Uber Eats app. Upon arrival I noticed two gentleman in a corner already enjoying their food. I was looking forward to picking up my order and try out their #8 menu item: 4x rolled taquitos. I was in a hurry because time was ticking and my lunch break was too short. To my surprise, my order had not been made yet, and there was no line. I had submitted the order in the Uber eats app at about 12:55pm. The young lady at the front goes to the very back to check (although the kitchen was right behind her) and then the cook comes in from the back door. The young lady did not say I word. I watched as the cook reached into the freezer to pull out what I knew saw my food. I was in shock! I did not see the cook eat his hands before handling food. I don’t know what he touched or grabbed outside! Even smartphones have a lot of germs and bacteria, doorknobs, car keys. I was in disbelief. I asked the young lady if my order was already rest because she was spent there whole time. She responded it’s almost ready. After a quick dip in the deep fryer for maybe 2 minutes and my food was packaged. I was upset mind you, not only was my food not ready (considering there was no line and no apology from the cashier young lady nor the cook) but also the cook food not was his hands!!! I prompted to ask the cook if he had just come from the outside before nagging my food? To which he said yes. I then asked if he washed his hands? The cook responded “No, but I didn’t touch anything”. I was appalled. I told him that I didn’t know what he grabbed but even the germs and bacteria are on the doorknob of the back door he grabbed to come back inside. The cook didn’t say anything. It was an awkward silence while I was expecting an apology and a redo. I asked the cook to redo my order but this time to wash his hands. He said no and insisted to take the order he made. I told him I was bird going to ingest food that he didn’t handle properly by not washing his hands, and that it is a strict health safety violation that he did NOT WASH HIS HANDS before returning to the kitchen. The con said “well I’m not going to make another one because you paid on the [Uber Eats] app. I told the cook, “but I paid and you didn’t wash your hands.” The cook then said “what? You expect for me to toss it out in the trash?” Then I responded “no, because you can eat it. You made it with your dirty hands, so eat it yourself.” He refused. He insisted again that because I paid on the app he would not make a redo. ——- What?! Is my money not good enough? Is it my problem if the restaurant revives a commission for app orders? I found you on the app and wanted to give you a try. I won’t be coming back here ever again. And yes, I’ll report it to Riverside County Environmental Health Services.
I’m calling out the owner: be responsible and hold your employees accountable. I know it’s hard to trust your employees and leave them all by themselves to “shopkeep” because my family owns a small business too. However, it is your duty to train your employees so they follow ALL health and safety standards and codes. It is your responsibility to train your team to offer great service. It is your responsibility to train your employees how to handle these types situations.

Don’t get me started on their salsa. Their sauces are amazing. Just write enough amount of garlic and heat.
Everything is expensive in the world, but their prices I felt were reasonable two thumbs up
