Very rude staff, questionable cleanliness, they don’t use gloves, the cook touches his nose and ears, the restaurant smells, and it takes 20-30 minutes to receive your order. I was only picking up an order. I would never eat here. There is way better Mexican food to buy. Don’t waste your money!

This restaurant is located right off the main street into Bernalillo, NM.
The restaurant is a good size, that offers a drive thru windows.
I believe the restaurant is a chain.
The menu offers a lot of options.
I ordered a Ranchero burrito.
Basically cubed steak meat with jalapeños and tomato sauce with potatoes. I asked for no potatoes.
Surprisingly they didn’t make the burrito smaller and did add more meat but charged more without letting me know ahead of time.
The restaurant is old and not taken care of outside.
I kind of pulled in because I didn’t feel like eating McDonald’s or any other regular fast food restaurant.
But this restaurant turned out to be a Mexican fast food restaurant. Not bad but not a place you go out of the way to find.

Horrible customer service!! The short kid with the perm and highlights was very rude and likes to slam the window in your face while you’re talking. Over charged for cold food & dry tamales with no meat that took 15-20 minutes to prepare in the drive thru.
I highly recommend taking the extra mile and going to the Filiberto’s in Rio Rancho instead they’re polite and the food is always fresh.

9 Nov 2023 – We went through the drive-thru at this location just before 1700 yesterday evening. We’d never eaten at this restaurant chain at any location, so it was new to us.
I’ll address first, the good things. There were so many choices on the menu, and it was easy to understand what was included in each item or combination plate. The lady at the window provided excellent service, and was friendly and polite. My significant other ordered a carne asada burrito, and said it was good. The drinks we ordered were also good.
My food, however… it was not good, not even slightly. It was almost as bad as Taco Cabana, which is total garbage. I ordered the burrito and taco combination plate, both with chicken; the rice and beans were flavorless (I added the green sauce provided to make them more edible), and the chicken in my taco and burrito tasted terrible. I think it’s safe to say the meat was actually chicken, and fully cooked, but the flavor was not pleasant. I ate the taco because it had more to cover the taste of the chicken, but the burrito only had cheese with the chicken and therefore ended up in the trash after only a few bites. I HATE wasting food, but was it really food?
A friend told me what she typically orders here, none of which included chicken, so between her choices and the fact that my significant other liked his burrito, I MIGHT give this place another chance… but it will be a very long while before that happens, IF it does.
Stay far, far away from the chicken.
Two stars for the service and drinks. Expensive for such low quality (see receipt photo).
P.S.: I forgot to mention my upset stomach when I woke up this morning. I ate nothing else but the rice, beans, taco, and few bites of the burrito last night… so I’m quite sure that’s what caused it. Pretty gross.

If you like SoCal Mexican food as much as I do then this is the spot. Albertos(SoCal), Robertos (SoCal), and Filbertos are so much alike you would think they were related. Chips and a fresh made salsa bar is available while you wait. Try the creamy avocado sauce that I just can’t get enough on one chip.
My wife enjoys the rolled tacos and I can’t get enough of the truly authentic Carne Asada burrito. Enjoy truly the best Mexican food to be found in a casual dinning atmosphere.

They have good breakfast burritos but I order the country burrito because I don’t like meat and I found a small amount of meat the last three times so I’m done getting food from there. I wish they’d be more careful when someone orders a burrito without meat while cooking it especially when they are kinda expensive but It’s like they don’t care.

This was my 2nd time here. The food is always just okay, nothing out of this world. I would recommend the Carne asada burrito, it’s pretty good. Today I ordered the 5 mini carnita tacos. The taco meat was okay, half dry, half decent. Flavor wise it needed more spiciness but that’s just for my liking. Just an okay spot for me.

Sometimes you you just gotta have rolled tacos! And this is the place to get them! Their food is real authentic Mexican cuisine. And the only place to get machaca burritos here in New Mexico, as far as I know. And these burritos are healthier than most any other fast food breakfast too! The employees are always friendly and they strive to give you their best service!
