We had another great experience here last week while the babysitter watched our kids. All our dishes were beautifully plated and delicious, the service was friendly and prompt, and they have maybe my favorite ambience of restaurants in San Clemente on the outdoor patio. I love how they have the patio landscaped with lots of greenery and hanging plants, and a small fountain, as these effectively mute most road noise from nearby El Camino traffic. Park a block or two away if you drive since there’s minimal parking in the immediate area, but we prefer walking along the beach then up to here usually, about 1/2 mile.

I went for something I don’t normally order and had the octopus. It was great.

Disappointing. My friend has been many times before and has said it’s great and this was a one-off experience. Service was good, not great. Shouldn’t have had to ask to send back the mussels after explaining that they were tiny and flavorless (despite good sauce and garlic bread). In my opinion, these mussels should not have been on the menu at all that night, they were so poor in quality. Secondly, the octopus came over-cooked and flavorless. The amount of octopus in the dish was tiny, as well. Also, a glass of wine was served that had turned. The salmon was excellent, the saving grace of the meal. The complimentary sorbet dessert w candle for my friends birthday was a nice touch. The atmosphere is beautiful (we sat outside). Can’t say I’d recommend it, but my friend would say to give it another try. I have heard the pasta w squid ink and seafood is good, although we didn’t have it bc it contains milk, which is surprising in a seafood pasta dish.

Cute and romantic spot right off of El Camino Real in San Clemente. It wasn’t busy for a Friday night and no reservations needed. The staff was friendly and helpful. Had a table by the warm fire-pit. There are lights for a cool night time ambiance. The food is a little pricey. Presentation is beautiful and the service is very good. I ordered the Pear Fondue and it came with 5 slices of bread and the Fig Salad. The salad had a fancy way they served the cheese and dressing. I would recommend this place for a special date night.

If you’re a steak lover, then this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I recently had the pleasure of trying their steak, and it was absolutely perfect. The meat was cooked to perfection, with a delicious char on the outside and a tender and juicy center. It was clear that the chef had taken great care in selecting and preparing the steak, and the quality of the meat was evident in every bite.

This restaurant knows what it’s doing. The chef is clearly creative and gifted for what he does. All food is locally sourced and home made, all the way down to the butter and cheese. I had a surf and turf which is a Filet Mignon and half a lobster with all the trimmings in a delicious buttery cream. Their cocktails were excellent and full of flavor. I recommend the truffle fries with their homemade ketchup and mustard as a side, you won’t regret it.

Hope your not hungry because we waited a good 45 minutes before our food came out and in the interim we were given 3 heavy tasteless pieces of bread to gnaw on. Least the butter covered up the gumminess of the bread.did not make me look forward to the rest of my meal.
