When in town, we stop every day for sandwiches to pack for lunch. The Spicy Blue Hen is my favorite, followed closely by the Power Chicken Salad. My husband loves the Gobbler. The fresh cut cantaloupe is perfect for breakfast, though they also offer delicious breakfast sandwiches. Couldn’t resist the blueberry cornbread on my last visit, and it was amazing! Friendly people. Local gem.

Part farmers market, part deli and part convenience store. On certain items you will pay high convenience store prices. Nice variety of produce. I haven’t tried a sandwich so I can’t comment on it. Nice staff.

Such a cool little market with fresh vegetables and fruits, excellent sandwiches, and everything else you need to stock the fridge for your vacation. Get the apple cider doughnuts!

Right on the edge as you’re coming into Dewey Beach, there is this absolute gem of a place called Fifer’s.
I have a newborn, and was doing the zombie walk for coffee in the morning. I walked the extra distance to go here, as I saw they had nitro cold brew available (I’m a sucker for good nitro). The breakfast sandwiches are amazing, and the deli sandwiches also looked very good.
The staff is lovely, as I didn’t time my walk up correctly to hit their open time of 8am, I got there about 10 min early, and they let me come right in to get my coffee fix and put in my breakfast order. Just the friendliest bunch of folks you’ll ever meet.
We’ll be going back to sandwiches on the way home tomorrow for sure!

Amazing local produce stand. I have been coming here the last few years during the spring/summer when they are open. Fresh fruit, and other local farm products are always delicious. They also make sandwichs for lunch and breakfast. A great local spot to taste what the farmers are growing!

Always a great place to go when you’re in Dewey. From the great breakfast sandwiches, to the delicious cider donuts, to the farm stand fruit and veggies, it’s a wonderful local business to support. Friendly service and a lot of great options.

A gem between Dewey and Rehoboth. Somehow managing to straddle the bridge between being authentic and hip, Fifer’s takes the generational trust of every kids class trip to its Camden orchards and exports it right near the heart of Delawares rowdiest party town.
It shouldn’t work, but it’s an oasis here providing farm fresh produce, baked goods and breakfast bowls, sandwiches and lunch specials with a Dietz and Watson deli. Lots of easy to access parking and picnic tables in shade if you want to eat in.

Yummy breakfast and lunch! I don’t think they use their locally farmed meats in the sandwiches they make, though, which is sad! But it was still good 🙂 There can be a bit of a wait, depending on how many people/who is working but that’s to be expected for a small place. Took about 25 minutes of me ordering to get two breakfast sandwiches with one person in front of me who also ordered two sandwiches.
*Breakfast is sereved till 11am! They have no wiggle room on this so don’t show up at 11:01 wanting breakfast. You can order online, though. Wish they stated the times breakfast was served on their website.
They have pretty good donoughts!
And I didn’t try the coffee but they brew rise up and carry nitro coffee, daily.

Wow! What an amazing place! We stayed on Chicago street during our visit and this was a 2minute walk! This place had everything from fresh produce to dairy and deli, eggs, oils, butters, jams and drinks and plenty of specialty stuff to try…and pretty much anything we needed in the kitchen. Their fresh made breakfast foods were awesome and convenient and they have outdoor seating! The staff was also very friendly and helpful even when the store was busy. Love this place. Hope to visit it again next time!
