I love fiesta‘s because it’s a total mood. I mean, just gives you total New Mexico restaurant vibes. I don’t know how to explain it other than if you grew up here you would know what I mean like when Sadie’s was in the bowling alley or the less glamorous, breaking bad.
They have this bowl of green chili with shredded beef and pinto beans. That is insane. It’s super spicy but even with that it’s just so hearty and so delicious. I have to have it every time I come visit.
I’ve only gotten takeout, they always pack everything. Well, you can order by calling in, but you have to also pay, which just makes everything easier when you go pick it up anyway.

I really enjoy Fiestas as a place to eat by myself after work or to spend quality time with a friend. The servers are nice and attentive, the food comes out quickly, and I never feel rushed. The chile is spicy but not too hot for me. I don’t like super hot chile. I like that the place is never packed when I go there, but I do wonder why they don’t seem busier. The place is not fancy at all, but cozy and welcoming and the food is good.

We were long time customers of more than 20 years but after a steady decline of food and service it is time to say goodbye. I would have given 0 stars if it was an option. The few last straws were yesterday. It was 4:00 when we arrived. We were 1 of 2 tables. It started when I was told I could not order a small side of guacamole with my chips and salsa. I had to order the large guacamole salad unless I was ordering food. I said OK, and ordered the small side with my steak fajitas and asked her to bring it ASAP. She said of course, but I never saw her or the guacamole again. It was shift change and the new waitress delivered our food. My fajitas were cold, definetly not served on a sizzling skillet or even a warm plate. The steak was gummy, tough and lacking any and all flavor. It looked and tasted like the meat had been boiled. My husband ordered the all you can eat dinner which was basic, cheese enchilada and ground beef taco. The sopapillas were not warm light and fluffy. They were cold, flat and hard. Clearly made hours earlier. We never saw our waitress again until she brought our check. She was more interested in taking to someone in the back than she was in providing customer service. Our drinks were not filled, she never checked back to see how our food was, if we wanted or needed anything or would like any seconds on the all you can eat dinner. When she finally brought our check, I told her that we had wanted a second enchilada on the all you can eat dinner, but could not get her attention. She apologized and said she didn’t know that’s what he had ordered…which brings us back to the customer service!
I have worked in restaurants for many years. This was not a one time bad experience here. It had been a steady decline over several years. Sadly, yesterday was the last time for us after being long time customers.

Friendly helpful staff, Danielle , our server, was very attentive and quick. Our glasses were never empty and requests were handled in an expedient fashion. Food was served hot and plates were appealing in presentation. Good place, will be back!

We used to go to this place 12 years ago, before we left for a lengthy hiatus. We’ll, we are back in Albuquerque and we went there for dinner last week. It was as great now as it was all those years ago. Highly recommend Fiesta’s for lunch OR dinner!

Terrific local New Mexican food place. Quick, friendly service. Very good local New Mexico fare. I really enjoy their carne adovada and their sopapillas. Nothing fancy, inexpensive, and always good. They also have a separate room that can be used for meetings if you reserve it in advance. It’s free. They also have a separate room with a bar.

This is a wonderful restaurant. The food is
great. Our waitress was singularly attending us as well as a large party in a
private room. Our food was delivered in
a timely manner without issue, and it was
delicious.
