CASH OR ZELLE ONLY! I feel like I needed to mention that first so people don’t get surprised after ordering.
I was craving Filipino food, specifically sisig and sinigang, and found this place while searching. I ordered takeout. Parking was a pain because the lot is tiny, shared with other businesses, and it’s a tight squeeze. If you have trouble finding an open spot, you’ll probably need to park on the street.
That said, the food was really good. I was genuinely impressed with the sisig ($14.95) and pork sinigang ($16.95), and the portions are pretty good too. Prices felt fair compared to other Filipino restaurants. I took photos of their sisig, sinigang, and garlic fried rice, and I also took photos of the menu because I noticed some outdated prices online.
FYI, they add a 20% gratuity for parties of 5+ and reservations.
The owner is nice, but more of a no-nonsense type, which I actually appreciated, though I can see how some people might be put off by that. The inside is definitely more of a hole-in-the-wall spot with a very local feel.
I’d recommend this place and I’ll be ordering from them again from time to time, mainly for the sisig lol.

Best Authentic Filipino food that we’ve had. We can’t pick which we liked the most, all of the food that we’ve ordered tasted soooo good (Pusit, Sinigang, Lechong Kawali, and Crispy Pata). The waiting time was worth it. The food was freshly cooked and tasted fresh especially the Pusit. Tasted so clean too, like someone prepared and cooked them thoroughly. Even the fried food was not dry, not oily, not bland, not too much, everything was cooked just right. The crisp and the juiciness of the fried foods, perfectly balanced. Prices were reasonable. Hard to find a parking spot but their food was worth trying, and I would say the best that we’ve tried here in California, not just the typical Filipino cooking.

This place is horrible. First of, parking is pretty much non existent. They only have one parking space for their patrons. By the way, they only have one neon sign through their windows making their restaurant difficult to find. When you walk in, they have a stench that hits you right in the face. Honestly, that alone we should have left. We only stayed because my mom wanted filipino food. And we wanted something other than Max’s. But we regretted that decision. Right when we sat down, I was attacked by mosquitoes. How the hell do they have mosquitoes!?!?!? From the get go, it was a horrible experience. And for the food….it was just as bad. The sinigang and kare-kare tasted old and honestly no flavor. The crispy pata was sub par. It was just pata, not crispy. Their sauce for the crispy pata tasted like card board. They don’t even have patis (fermented fish sauce) or suka (vinegar) on the table. The only thing that was ok about this place was the service tito provided. However, tito could use some revamping in his service. Like putting a smile on this face and possibly wearing a polo, not a worn out t-shirt. Also, we were the only people there. A small party of 3.
Save your self and go to Acapulco down the street, or Raffis Place. If you want Filipino food, go to Nanay Gloria’s in Eagle Rock.

I Do Recommend This Place. I Would Have Given Them 5 Stars, but The Service Was Really Slow. It Took More Than An Hour To Get The Food and Drinks. Looks Like They Were Short Handed. The Waiter Did Apologized.

Food is always good. The people are friendly and nice. Service is a tiny bit slow, but only because we are on our one-hour lunch break and always in a hurry to drive back to work.

Tonight was first time being at this establishment. My brother and I went because of the dessert called Halo Halo. It was delicious. The portion size was great. Wish they added a touch more ube ice cream and jack fruit – It was very refreshing.

their food is really good. we had:
lechon kawali with their divine sauce
garlic fried rice, just the right amount of garlic for me
bicol express, which we requested to be pork because it was default at seafood. you can ask them to customize it, which not a lot of places do, let alone have this dish
it’s a mom and pop, hole in the wall place. they’re really nice and friendly. i think there was only one cook but our food came out in a timely manner.
i will definitely come back.

I was there yesterday 29/09/2024 at around 3:00 pm. not impressed with customer service, maybe tired already, Ginataang gulay I ordered was lacking in Coconut milk, (the waiter offered to pour fresh coconut milk over it ). Their credit card payment was not working, good thing I brought cash. Still tipped $5 and change as it is the right thing to do, but I’ll stick to Kusina Filipina or Seafood City in that area next time.
