Hands down one of my family’s favorite little restaurants to grab a bite to eat. The prices are AWESOME first of all, second if you’re a salsa and chips person, this is the place to go!

I’ve tried lots of salsa in my lifetime and I can say that I think this is probably one of the top two of my favorites I’ve ever had. In fact, it was voted Top Salsa of the Southeast…..by me. Hehe

I ordered the enfrijoladas this time, and I was not disappointed. The portions are always large, and they do a great job with the littles as well. My daughter asked for slices of oranges because she saw one in my marg, and they gave her a little cup of her own, full of orange slices free of charge. It was so sweet and they did not have to do that.

We go here quite often and have brought family from out of town here as well. It may not be the most popular or the fanciest of restaurants, but the restrooms are clean, the food is great, and the service is really good! – order of importance not quite in that order lol

After a quick trip to Athens to check out The Square, a vintage/antique store, and a thrift store, we decided it was time for dinner. We searched for Mexican cuisine, our Sunday night ritual. We checked Google Maps and identified Fiesta Mexicana as the place to try. That turned out to be a wise choice.

It’s located at the end of a standard looking strip mall. It is smaller than the usual Mexican chain restaurant, but it fits the bill for Mexican food.

We went with traditional options, chicken fajitas and a mixed-meat burrito, to go with the obligatory chips and salsa. We also added a large queso dip.

The tortilla chips were good, and the salsa was even better. The queso was a pretty standard white melted cheese that we both enjoyed.

My wife’s chicken fajitas came out on the usual flat cast iron hot plate. You could see the spices on the chicken. My wife was impressed, which can be hard to do because she is somewhat of a fajita aficionado. I appropriated a piece of her chicken and agreed, the flavor was on point. She told me to try the beans. She said it tasted like they added bacon, but my palate could not distinguish the extra flavor. Either way, we both agreed there was a little something extra and it was good.

My burrito contained a mix of chicken, shrimp, and chorizo. The same spice attached to my wife’s fajitas had also penetrated my burrito and thank goodness it did. The spice was good on the chicken and the chorizo, but it made the shrimp standout. They packed the burrito with meat and laid green and red salsas, and the white cheese dip on top. A stupendous idea. It came with rice that seemed typical of most Mexican restaurants.

On the way out I inquired about the spice. I was afraid the cashier was going to tell me something simple like a taco spice from a pouch, but she said it was a special blend. Well done to whomever created it.

Overall, this was a great choice. If I lived nearer to Athens, this would be on a regular rotation of dinner night options.

This was our second visit because our first was great. We ordered the same fajitas we did the first time but they were not as seasoned as before. Also ordered guacamole and they never brought it out before our meal so we had them take it off our ticket. They were kinda busy, but not crazy.

Best Pork Chili Verde in town! Christina was our waitress and she was great. The food was good with good sized portions. The Salsa and Bean dip are good too. I will have to visit again next time I am over their way and I’ll prob get the same dish again for the third time!

This is a very nice family-oriented place to eat. The food is amazing and piping hot when it arrives. The drinks are good as well. The prices are fair compared to other Mexican restaurants. I have to say they need to work on greeting people at the door. We walked in and no one greeted us for at least 5 minutes. You really didn’t know where to stand or whether to seat your own self. I understand that when you’re busy you can’t always greet people. But I think you should have one person designated to greeting people as they walk in so we at least know to see ourselves or to wait and where to wait. The waitresses need to be a little bit more customer friendly and visit the table a little bit more to see if we need anything. I do not like having to catch roadrunner to grab extra napkins are refill drinks or on anything extra. But as far as everything else I give them a good rating. I will definitely be back because I love this restaurant. I have been going here for many years. They just need to fix a few things.
