THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT AWARD!! Its a beautiful delight with so many wonderful decorations. ☃️
Thank you so much for spreading so much joy. The music and lights made it so special.
The service was very friendly. I was undecided between two items and they ale carted a small side of one of the dishes so I could try both 🙂
Happy holidays.

They were willing to customize most dishes to vegetarian since we don’t eat meet! Fun place

No vegetarian options. Every single menu item has meat. If you want no meat, you still pay the meat price. No veggie fajita, no cheese quesadilla, and no veggie burrito. Literally every menu item has meat. Otherwise, service and atmosphere were great. Very clean restaurant, just not veggie friendly.

Great Margaritas. Hands down some of the best fresh Mexican food in Des Moines. Shrimp was so fresh. Pollo Loco just as great. Good portions for the money. Staff is attentive, but not intrusive. Can be a little loud when its peak times.

Went here about a week ago with my fiancé, and the food was great! Our service was abysmal. I never leave a review, but this almost felt like actively trying to give poor service. My credentials are working in a sports bar for 5 years, serving, bartending, and managing. We arrived and got sat rather quickly. The restaurant was not busy, and our server came up to get our drink order. Our chips and salsa got dropped off by a food runner, and she then came back with our drinks & asked if we needed a minute. We said we did (regret #1) and she walked off. 18 MINUTES LATER, she comes back & we order our queso & food at the same time. When our queso arrived we already had an empty chip basket, so of course we kindly asked her to bring us more chips when she had a moment (she had several). We stopped her about 10 minutes later (after refilling drinks for our neighboring table) and asked if we could please get a chip refill if she had a moment. We were told, “yes they’re making it back there” *gestures towards what I assume is the kitchen* We were a little confused but thanked her and continued waiting. At this point you can see the film starting to form on top of the queso. About 5ish minutes later our food comes out by a kitchen runner. We start to eat, assuming that the server will be over to check on us since our food just came out. Another 10 minutes and 1/2 of my fiancé’s burrito later our server finally comes to check on us. (Mind you- We watched her check on other tables, run drink refills, and stand and talk to her coworkers. AND WE TRIED to get her attention, we are NICE TO SERVICE WORKERS) At this point the queso had a film covering the entire thing, neither of us had water, and I cannot lie when I say I was fighting for my life with 1 napkin trying to eat quesabirria tacos. We, AGAIN, kindly asked for a chip refill, and drink refills, before we could say “and napkins” she was gone. She did come promptly back with chips, and within about 5 minutes we had water. 15 minutes later she came over with the check & never returned to our table. Eventually we mustered the courage to walk to the host stand and ask if we could pay out with her. I would like to believe she was new or was having an off day, but genuinely wouldn’t come back because of how bad the service was- which sucks because the food was great.

If you’re looking for authentic it won’t be found here. RUDE STAFF!!! Don’t order water as it tastes like it came from the sewer. If you’re not into being in a loud bar like atmosphere stay away. On the plus side the seafood enchiladas were good only because they use real crab! Disappointing!!!

Our recent visit to Fiesta Mexican Restaurant was truly outstanding and made us become BIG FANS! We went for an impromptu birthday party after my niece’s softball game, and they were incredibly quick and efficient at accommodating our large group (12+ people).
The menu is massive, which is perfect for satisfying every specific (or picky) eater in a group. We started with the phenomenal chips, salsa, and cheese dip. Then they brought the guacamole dip out, and my jaw dropped to the floor. They gave us so much guac, it was a dream come true. That was only the beginning of our meal, so I knew we were in good hands. Truly, everything we ordered from the huge selection was delicious and shareable.
Beyond the great food, the restaurant itself is impressive. The building is clean and well-maintained, and there are plenty of TVs to catch any sports games. The bathrooms were also very clean. They have a large amount of staff workers, so you’ll never have an empty glass of water (Thank you BTW!).
Overall, they offer a great combination of delicious food, a perfect atmosphere for any group, and fantastic service. Go enjoy their food, and you definitely won’t be disappointed—you might even become a regular! Don’t forget to try their cocktails. Their portions sizes are ahh-mazing, and the flavors and presentations of their drinks makes it feel even more spectacular.

My wife and I went to Fiesta Mexican Restaurant last night and ordered the Fiesta Fajitas with steak, chicken, and chorizo sausage. We mixed it up just a little because I asked for the corn tortillas. They automatically originally gave us flour tortillas, but corn is the way to go. We also had to ask for some hot sauce. The gentleman who took care of us brought some hot sauce from the kitchen, and it was just the right amount of heat.
Prices are reasonable, and the food is good. If you like spice, you’ll have to ask for the hot sauce, but we were all set after getting it. Great margaritas. Check out Fiesta.

I’ve been here 3 times and have never been satisfied with the food. Compared to other Mexican food in the area it lacks a lot of flavor. In my most recent trip I got the crunchy chicken burrito. While I was initially impressed with the size of it as I was eating it I soon discovered it was 80% rice and not much meat or other ingredients. It was pretty dry as well and needed a salsa bath to make it enjoyable at all. I will also note how loud this restaurant is. I am not sure I have ever been to a louder restaurant. I get that it’s very busy but they need to add sound deadening as the room just amplifies everything.

My steak tacos were on point!
Of all the steak I have had at mexican restaurants this steak was hands down the best. So tender and flavorful. The rice was fesh and moist. Can’t wait to go back and try the fajitas!
