Nice to see many returning customers coming in.
I had the number 15, nice large plate, hot and filling. Love the chips and dip as you order and wait for your food so you can come in hungry and snack as your main order is cooking. Thanks for the experience.
Three of us ordered from the combo menu, the other had the skirt steak salad. I have a pet peeve about hard shell taco shells that are store bought…was done here. Ground beef was alright. Seemed shredded chicken was flavored similarly to the beef. Same feeling with the other combo meals.
I don’t like giving a mediocre review but, the food was just that. Otherwise enjoyed the service.
This man (white, grey hair, about 5’9, late 50s) gave us the absolute worst service I’ve ever experienced in any restaurant. From the moment he came to our table, he acted like we were beneath him. He ignored us while we politely gave our order, knocked my girlfriend’s (almost empty) drink all over her without apologizing, acting like he didn’t notice walking away very fast. deliberately brought the wrong tortillas after I asked for corn, and forgot our appetizer until after our entrées had already been served. I had to remind him. Everything he did felt careless at best, and intentional at worst.
Meanwhile, he went out of his way to laugh, smile, and joke with every other table around us — loudly enough that it felt like he wanted us to notice. Then he’d come back to us with a stone face, acting cold and dismissive. It was blatantly disrespectful.
To make matters worse, this isn’t even the first time we’ve had a bad encounter with him. Months ago, outside of the restaurant, he nearly ran us over with his car, then got out and threatened me instead of apologizing. So when he treated us horribly during this visit, it was clear he remembered us and held a personal grudge.
And to top it all off, as we were leaving the restaurant he actually came outside, gave us an exaggerated sarcastic wave, and loudly wished us a “great rest of your day” while pretending to hope we enjoyed our meal. It was obvious he was mocking us, as if everything he had already done wasn’t enough and he needed one last chance to taunt us. At that point, I honestly left wondering if my food had been tampered with.
I’ve never once had a problem at Fiesta en Jalisco until now, but this man’s behavior was beyond unprofessional — it was hostile. He should not be serving customers, period. If management values their loyal customers, they need to let him go, because one employee like this can ruin the entire reputation of a great restaurant.
The food was very good and they prepared my very picky kids just like he liked it! Will definitely stop here again!
