9th Street Taqueria with friendly staff and owner. FYI: their English is light. There were a lot of plants and flowers around the 7 or 8 table spot, which were lovely. It was pretty cold in there. They were out of limes, so provided lemons. The cucumbers were unfortunately no good. The food was okay and came out hot. Tacos could have used more onion with all of the cilantro. Key needed for bathroom that the owner had to bring out from the back. It is a BYO and they have a cooler of juices and sodas. Will skip it for other options in the area next time.

Truly awful. I ordered delivery, which claimed to only be 30 mins, but didn’t get my food for 1.5+ hours. I ordered the Quesadilla Texana, which is supposed to consist of a folded flour tortilla with cheese, mushroom, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. After a longer than expected delivery time wait, I cut into my quesadilla to find HAM inside. I literally have no idea how this happened. There are no quesadillas on the menu that contain ham, and the to-go container was even labeled Quesadilla Texana. What an awful experience.

Great atmosphere, decor, friendly staff.
There was a faint odor of natural gas in the restaurant when we went.
The vegetarian burritos are made with potato, fyi.
Their meat dishes seemed to be more of their strength.

I had a delicious, hot bistec street tacos and my friend thoroughly enjoyed his Al Pastor street tacos. They were exactly what we needed after a long day of riding bikes. Staff was friendly and helpful. We even got a complementary bottle of water as we were really thirsty in the hot sun. Will return again when I’m in Philly.

The sold out of the top stuff I wanted. The food was still incredible. Some of the best Hispanic food I have had in a while. I used to go here all the time but haven’t since I moved from around the block. Definitely planning on wearing here soon with my cousin and brother

I got the enchiladas rojo saw this place had some good reviews didn’t look at the menu nor pictures.when I arrived this place gave me the vibes of me being in someone’s house and there cooking for me so I asked for the food to go .when I sat down waiting for the food it changed that feeling fairly quick I received my order and went in the car to check it out. Beans in a coffee cup, rice in a small container and the enchiladas looked good , when I tasted the beans it had no flavor threw them out , rice was eh enchiladas were drenched in green sauce felt like a soup never eating here again

Walked in like a half hour earlier than they were open and had no idea until literally writing this review. No fuss. They are amazing! Food is delish, I’d recommend them to anyone wanting some great eats in South Philly!

Very generous portions, vegetables were fresh and crisp, meat was fresh, and the salsas were delicious. Largest cheese empanadas I’ve ever seen. Lovely owners and music too!

I decided to order from a local mexican restaurant on cinco de mayo for some tacos. I dont have a go-to taco place but this restaurant looked good and have good reviews. I got beef tacos with lettuce and cheese for extra cost, shrimp tacos with lettuce and tomato for extra cost and an orange soda. I received my order and the beef taco didnt have cheese. I call to complain and the lady answered said they only put cheese on chicken- dont put cheese on beef tacos. I said there is nothing saying that and it prompted me to add cheese, that’s why I selected it. Can I have my money back? The lady said she doesn’t know, the manager isn’t here and its really busy. I was upset and hung up. The tacos weren’t that good either. Will never order from them again, and they owe me $3.00 for the cheese I didnt get.
