Passing through Tacoma visiting from Portland and got lots of recs to stop by this place. A true gem! For wine lovers and those who enjoy well crafted cocktails and delicious bites. Also really appreciated a thoughtful curated NA menu. Lovely people and experience. Will definitely be coming back!

We visited Field Bar on a beautiful Saturday evening after exploring more of the area outside Tacoma. We sat at the bar and had an overall solid time. We really appreciated the interesting menu, fun drink options, and intimate vibes of the restaurant. With that said, most of the items we tried just weren’t fully to our taste. I don’t love oysters served on rocks (I expect ice), I didn’t enjoy the caesar salad being entirely chicory, and the Mac n’ Cheese entree should come with the crab by default as otherwise it’d have been very 1 note. With that said, the drinks we tried were great and the bar service very congenial. However, the food itself was just not that impressive for our pallette.

I had a great non-alcoholic cocktail at Field Bar & Bottle Shop tonight. My friend wanted to meet up there at 4:30- which felt kind of early until I realized she is a genius. Their “Aperitivo” is Wednesday-Saturday and goes from 4pm till 5pm.
Their Aperitivo has a bunch of nice nibbles from Oysters to a Pickle Plate at a discount as well as discounted drinks.
I got a glass of wine before 5 but then because I’m 46 and don’t drink two drinks at once very often anymore I got this “Bright Eyes” cocktail which was so nice. They had a bunch of thoughtful looking NA cocktails on the menu so if you’re looking for creative non-alcoholic options in Tacoma make sure to check them out!
I love the dim lighting and friendly serviced – we had Panzanella, Beet Caesar, and delicious Sourdough with our drinks and it was so good.
An excellent Saturday Night!

The best dinner I’ve had in Tacoma! We were so impressed by the incredible staff, beautiful food presentation, and delicious cocktails that we completely forgot to take photos. (I promise, it was gorgeous.) We cleaned every single plate.
I’ve had the pleasure of dining at so many restaurants in Tacoma, and Field Bar truly stands out with some of the best food and service in town.
We started with the Pickle Plate and Seared Summer Squash (holy, that was amazing), then moved on to the Ratatouille and Seared Queen Salmon. Every dish was stunning and full of flavor. I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

We had a wonderful time here. It was expensive but it was worth it and we would definitely come back. Between the two of us we ordered 3 cocktails, dozen oysters, cheese plate, chicken liver mouse, mac and brie, and scallops which came out to about $230 which includes their 20% service charge. We splurged but this is something we do just a few times a year. When we do this we want to make sure its a memorable experience and this place did exactly that

My husband and I went to Field and Bottle and were impressed by how creative and well thought out the restaurant was. It gives European cafe vibes while serving up incredible food and creative cocktails.
We got a few small plates and the corn risotto with crab which I could not recommend more! The sourdough with ricotta and jam is something I would get everyday if I could.
Overall we feel like Tacoma has been missing this type of restaurant. It’s great to see that they partner with local farms to bring this quality of food to the community. We are super excited to see what other creative dishes they come up with in the future.

Might I add… the desserts were spectacular and baked by my sweet friend McKayla! Kudos to the staff, chefs and baker. Everyone was so kind and wonderful!

Intimate atmosphere with one of the most phenomenal and thoughtful menus I’ve ever had! The variety that the menu has– as well as how often it changes– makes this always a wonderful and ever-novel spot to go to. Lots of love put into this place and we love to come here! 🙂 (P.S.: highly highly recommend the panzanella)

Absolutely loved every bit of the experience here. The food is creative, fresh, seasonal and delicious. We had fresh oysters on the half shell topped with the most perfect chili sauce, beet salad was as delicious as it looked, and although I am not a liver fan, the chicken liver mousse was to die for! Brian, the owner, is super knowledgeable, approachable, and an overall amazing human being. The vibe is very chill and relaxing. The only thing I regret is not having come sooner!
