Located on the banks of the Milwaukee River along the village’s main street, the building dates from 1839 when things moved a bit slower and conversation was the primary means of communication. Our Thiensville location boasts a beautiful outdoor patio complete with the natural backdrop of the Milwaukee River. It’s not unusual to spot wildlife such as fox, deer, herons and eagles as you enjoy your Fiddleheads coffee. Indoors, you will find, antique original artwork lines the walls, complementing its rough-hewn hardwood floors, reminiscent of Old Vienna. It’s a great meeting place with Old World feel. Our café is always bicyclist, and family friendly.

Of all the Fiddleheads locations, I like this one the best. Situated on the Milwaukee River. It has several different outdoor patios , one the is enclosed but has large garage doors that open. Super friendly staff and quick service.

What an absolutely beautiful coffee shop. There was plenty of indoor seating and I loved my spot by the fireplace. I wish the weather had been nicer because the seating by the right and outdoor fireplace was also very welcoming. The coffee was delicious!

Oh my!! I was blown away by how amazing this place was. The food the service the atmosphere. It was like being at home. So cozy. Even with quite a few people it still felt quiet. The food had great flavor and texture. You kind of forget you’re in a cafe. I could have sat in there for hours talking with my husband. If you are in the area or staying at Sybaris it is just down the road and it is great.

My Dad was in a wheelchair and we had such a hard time getting around. First, parking is very hard to find. The pavement is full of holes and uneven lines, and we had to turn around and go back through the lot & up to the sidewalk because of all the stairs – why don’t you have a sign helping disabled guests?

Love this place! Great coffee, unique special drinks, tons of great cookies and other pastries. The list of breakfast sandwiches was also very enticing. There’s lovely outdoor seating behind the cafe facing the river as well as super cozy indoor seating with couch chairs and a fireplace. Highly recommend. I wish there had been more time to also try their bakery just a few blocks down the same street. You can also get a good selection of coffee beans here.
