My party came back for Korean food after what I thought was a “pretty good” first experience with their bulgogi last year, but the menu changed and the Korean flavors were off. After a long wait, the Korean sundubu chigae was way too fatty, spicy and watery, not a stew. The bibimbop was mostly rice and not enough fresh veggies. The tofu looked brown, fried and dried, instead of fresh and tender. For the first time in my life, we saw a severely burnt egg served at a restaurant (on top of the bibimbop). Surprised that the kitchen let that through – What’s happening in the kitchen that they can’t fry a simple fried egg or fry a new one? My mother had to cut around the egg to remove the burnt edges before she could chew it.
The non-Korean dishes were better – the fusion gochujang pasta alfredo with shrimp was cheesy and tasty with just a hint of cayenne pepper(not spicy at all), and the shrimp was not overcooked. The goat cheese squash quinoa (with pomegranate) was surprisingly delicious and the flavors were more balanced. Not sure they’re worth coming back for, with all the restaurant options we have.
The Korean dishes were disappointing for those who seek authentic, classic Korean flavors, or just plain fresh, good food. They seem to be trying to capitalize on the popular Korean wave but it missed the mark.
Also dining is on the second floor. If you have anyone in your party who can’t handle two sets of steps, know that there is no elevator here, and the restrooms are downstairs only, where the tile floor is peeling and between peeling tiles and potted plants all over the floor, the place was full of tripping hazards. Something seemed off. Sad because I really wanted to like this place.
The place looked dirty. They have poorly painted patch jobs all over the walls. The booths and tables were dirty (hair, spilled drinks, tons of crumbs) when we arrived, and when we asked to have them wiped down the waitress told us to just move to another table (which was also dirty). Other patrons came in after us and didn’t know where to sit because at one point all the empty tables still had dirty dishes on them.
The menus are crinkled and water stained. The salt and pepper shakers were almost empty.
I don’t know what the management or front staff is doing with their time. I recommend going elsewhere. Don’t waste your time.
We tried the chicken, which had great flavor but was unfortunately overcooked. The burger had the same issue—tasty, but a bit too dry.
On the bright side, the salad was absolutely perfect. We also ordered a few small plates, all of which were thoughtfully prepared and delicious.
Despite a couple of missteps, the overall experience was enjoyable, and the friendly service and inviting setting made it worth the visit.
Service is poor. Food is terrible. If you want Korean, dont come here. I understand it’s fusion as well but the Korean dishes aren’t done properly. GO ELSEWHERE. Save your money, time, and patience on things well worth the wait. This place isn’t it.
Atmosphere is nice. Servers are nice but extremely slow. Kitchen is extremely slow. There aren’t many seats up there in the restaurant but I dont know why everything took so long. Weren’t given utensils, cups, or anything. Just a pitcher of water. Got to talk to the server when 1. We ordered. 2. When they delivered the food; that’s when I had to ask for glasses and silverware. 3. The check. During the meantime, the water had a bunch of particles so we didn’t ask for new cups because the service was nonexistent. So no one drank water. Generic utensils were given but none given based on our order. Had to ask for a spoon when the initial bit of food came out. But forgot to ask for a second. So guess what? Ate the bowl of soup with a fork. Notice I haven’t even got to the food yet…
Food comes out. The most underwhelming food ever. The Korean food doesnt taste like the normal dishes. Everything else is bland. Meat is nonexistent in the soup. Soup came out after the entree.
This place is a hot mess. I honestly dont know why it has the “high” rating it does.
The person at the register was kind and helpful. After asking what they normally recommend, I told them I that was not a fan of tapioca or milk-based drinks, and they recommended the Mango Hibiscus Tea. I went with that, asking for less mango jelly to cut down on the sweetness. It ended up being really refreshing and light. I liked that the mango jelly had a texture close to real fruit, which I enjoyed. It had me wishing that I ordered the regular amount of mango jelly.
I ordered the Ficus Beef Burger with a side of waffle fries. The burger was delicious, the patty was nicely seasoned, the brioche bun was soft and nicely toasted, it had the perfect amount of secret sauce, and the cheddar cheese was nicely aged. The waffle fries were lightly seasoned and nicely crispy. I would definitely order the burger again, I am so happy that I mistakenly said burger when I repeated my order out loud to the person taking my order.
The food was packaged nicely, with two rubber bands to secure the lid to the food.
The only downside with that I waited a total of 31 minutes for my order. I waited 16 minutes for my drink order, and another 15 minutes for my food order. It’s not convenient when you want to just run in and at least quickly grab a drink.
I would definitely visit again, and order the mango hibiscus drink and ficus beef burger again, along with trying other menu items.
And it’s not even fresh avocado, it’s just avocado spread with a chunk of bacons, tastes only salty and nothing else.

My husband ordered the White Peach Oolong, and I went with the Rosey Sakura. Both were very sweet but the Rosey Sakura stole the show. It quickly became our favorite. Made with carbonated water, it was almost like a fancy flavored soju mixed with Sprite. The bubbles gave it a bougie twist that I loved.
We had a terrible experience here. We waited nearly an hour for our food in a crowded room with almost no service, which is incredibly stressful when you have a 2-year-old toddler with you.
My bill (including tax) came to $92.78. Due to the lack of service, I hand-wrote a $10.00 tip for a total of $102.78. I was shocked to see my bank statement later showing a charge of over $108.
It is completely unacceptable for a restaurant to alter a signed total and add an unauthorized tip—especially after providing such a poor dining experience. I will be disputing this charge with my credit card company. If you decide to eat here, keep your receipt and check your bank statement.
