I ordered the funghi pizza and, unfortunately, it was the worst pizza I’ve had in Victoria.

The crust was extremely hard and dense, it lacked that developed, airy flavour you expect from properly proofed dough. Instead of tasting like a well-fermented, risen crust, it was flat and flavourless. The texture was the biggest issue: overly chewy, tough, and hard in all the wrong ways. The only noticeable flavour coming through was burnt. I could only eat one slice before the burnt taste was too carcinogenic to handle. It was so flat and compact that it almost resembled a gluten-free crust in texture, but without any of the care or balance that a good gluten-free pizza can have.

I was genuinely blown away by how bad this food was. I couldn’t believe a restaurant with a 4.4 rating could serve something this disappointing.

Service was also disappointing. The food took a very long time to arrive, and the restaurant wasn’t busy. Delays are understandable when a place is packed, but there was no communication from our server about what was happening. A simple update would have made a big difference.

I actually came here once about four years ago and left due to poor service. I had hoped things might have improved, but sadly that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Overall, a very disappointing experience.

All I can say is that we left hungry ,the rest is clear from the photos.
Because we went late at night, we assumed the staff’s behavior was due to fatigue, even though we had to call them over ourselves.
However, after leaving there, we went to earls
restaurant and experienced much better service.
At that late hour, the food options were limited, and the rest is evident in the photos.
That said, the restaurant’s atmosphere was excellent, and I genuinely loved the space.

My husband and I had a delicious meal, in a great atmosphere. Our server Candace was excellent! She made the already great experience even better. We’ll definately come back when visiting Victoria. (I had the carbonara, but I don’t recall what my husband’s was. It was hard to pronounce, but delicious )

Fiamo Pizza & Wine Bar is a great place in Victoria to get authentic Italian food. The pizzas were full of flavour, and although the base was slightly overcooked, this didn’t take away much. Their famous brussels sprouts with maple syrup and parmesan cheese is unique and surprisingly works really well, definitely recommend. Téa served us and was absolutely fantastic.

Went with a friend. The Bistecca was somewhat disappointing as I ordered it as medium rare but the striploin was very dry as if it’s made well done. Very confusing and deceptive as it’s pink on the inside but very tough to chew and swallow in addition to the average plating.

The hostess and servers are very nice but pointless if the food isn’t good. I ate as much as I could but took the rest to go because I can’t finish it. I’ll just give the takeout remains to my boyfriend since he is indifferent with tough meat.

Won’t return on my own accord but I get invited again by friends, I hope their other entrees are better and definitely be ordering something else.

Smallest pizza I’ve ever received for such a hefty price. To make it worse, it came burnt and chewy — completely inedible. Total waste of money since there are so many good spots to enjoy food wise on the island. Avoid at all costs especially in this economic market.

Dropped in alone, fairly early on a Saturday night (6 ish). The place was busy, but they found a table. The staff were excellent, and seemed very well trained. Had 2 servings of bread w/ oil/balsamic, a linguini primavera, cioccolato, and a couple glasses of Chianti.
The food was good, but it was the service and the very vibrant atmosphere that turned dining alone, which can be a bit tedious, into an enjoyable experience. I got the sense that the staff were well trained and managed, and combined with the atmospheric architecture and decor, created a great experience.

A decent, but underwhelming restaurant. Stumbled in here by “accident” as it was on the way to another destination. Stopped in for a few beverages and some “late” night snacks and dinner. Overall, the experience was positive regarding the service. The food was a concern. Very underwhelming to put it politely. I’ve certainly had better Italian food and the menu is quite generic, but you’ll have a decent time here as long as your expectations are configured and set for something “safe” and run-of-the-mill. I’d say the atmosphere of the restaurant is probably the highlight and not necessarily the food or beverage.

Absolutely awesome restaurant! The decor is really warm and inviting whether you’re sitting outside on the open patio or inside. The staff are amazing they are dressed professionally, very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent! The presentation was beautiful! This restaurant has a very good menu with many choices for whatever you’re looking for , from just appetizers, a light meal, or a full dinner and the portions are very good. The prices are very good as well. They have a gorgeous full bar with anything you might want and prices were reasonable. I especially enjoyed the music. This restaurant would be perfect for a romantic dinner or just gathering with friends. Definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time! You can dress up or down and feel comfortable. I would highly recommend trying it out, it will probably be one of your favorites too!

Fiamo is a cozy yet chic Italian restaurant. Inside the restaurant is romantic, dark, and moody: perfect for a date night, evening cocktails, or having an intimate night to yourself. They have a closed patio as well as an open-aired one though unfortunately it wasn’t open when I visited.

Leah was our server who was methodical in how she went about the steps of service. Amy also stands out to me in her role as a support staff/host. Overall, the staff were quality: laid back but also seemed to care for their work.

I came for a Sunday night dinner so regrettably, the pasta dishes weren’t available reducing the choices in entree. However, their rotating specials of the day were a nice addition ensuring greater variety. This also implies they utilize seasonal ingredients and come up with new dishes in addition to the set menu– probably more fun for the kitchen staff too!

I ordered their special of the day: Eggplant Parmesan ($26) which was delectable. I loved the addition of roasted vegetables (including potatoes, broccolini, sweet peppers, and carrots) to brighten up the otherwise heavy dish.

I would recommend this place for those in Victoria and craving a good Italian meal with a charming atmosphere :).
