The ecstatics of the place is inviting right as you walk in. For small town USA you would not think you would find a place like this nestled in this Mennonite community. I would definitely recommend if you are around the area. I will come back and try some other food and see if it commandeers a higher rating. The California Chicken Club is good, I just have had better chicken. Not saying it was bad but it lacked flavor and I would have liked to have seen something else done with it. The sweet potato fries are actually some of the best I have ever had. Slightly crispy on the outside warm soft center. You get a French fry with almost mashed potato like center. Just try them! Wait staff very friendly. Come on by if you are ever heading between Salina and Wichita.

Sunday brunch. Enjoyed the omelet bar it was very good. Lots to choose from. Fried chicken was hot and tasty. They have a good selection of things to eat, biscuits and gravy, Pork loin, salmon, salad and dessert. Food served in Buffet serving dishes. Some of the items were not as hot as they should have been.

Atmosphere is spot on, especially with the patio. It’s great size to sit outside and enjoy a beverage and soak in the nice weather. The food is freaking awesome compared to your large chain places. You can tell it’s home made cooking. Not your average frozen product at all. Salads are awesome as a starter, the croutons are on point. Dressings taste like their made in house. I have the chicken fried steak, and it was breaded and cooked to perfection with great meat quality as well. Tender. Mash Potatoes were hand made as well. Great texture.

The food was very good, and the waitress was outstanding. My friend and I split a cheese burger and fries; the burger was cooked just right, moist and tasty. The fries actually tasted like they were from real potatoes. Splitting the meal was just the right amount for us. We spent considerable amount of time there, deep in conversation, and staff continued courteous throughout. It was a Saturday lunch, and never close to full. My only complaint was the noise level. There is something about the acoustics in the large seating area that makes an echo, resulting in a challenge for conversation.

Been here 2x. First time, they seemed overwhelmed and service was slow. Not a pleasing experience for the food service. Waited 45 minutes for appetizers another hour for our food. Ended up taking food to go. Food was ok. Waitress and manager were sincerely apologetic. Tried it again the other night. Waitress was awesome but some of the food was disappointing. Garlic mashed potatoes had so much pepper in them that the potatoes were discolored grey and they were barely edible. Had to ask for gravy to ease the flavor. We ordered the nachos both times we’ve went. Loved them the first time but this time they potatoes were hard and dry. Even a half inch cut piece of potato was crunchy through. You could break a tooth. The cheese and green onion was dried on and hard. When we asked about it, it was reported that the cooks stated that’s the way they are. We told them they weren’t like that the last time we came. Not sure we will go back for the food. Atmosphere maybe.

The decor and atmosphere was great! The bar is a work of art. My girlfriend had the prime rib and I had the catfish platter. Both items were generous portions and were delicious! I got a piece of carrot cake to go and it was ginormous. We will definitely visit again.

It’s overpriced, rather bland food. Food is priced 2-3 dollars higher than it should be. Drinks are outrageously expensive and I’ve heard time and time again “We want this to be a family restaurant, not a bar and grill.” Quite frankly, the previous restaurant “Quincy’s” was exactly what the town needed. A relaxed bar and grill with unique, flavorful food at a reasonable price. Even Quincy’s drinks were priced well. My wife and I have ate here three times, and every time has been a disappointment from both the price aspect and the quality aspect. For being the only actual resturaunt in town right now, it’s wasted potential. I’m honestly surprised to see these good reviews, as nearly everyone I know has the same opinion on the place. We aren’t into the night life side of things so I can’t confirm for certain, but from what I hear they’re very strict later at night and drinking here is like drinking in a prison. They’re highly against people loosening up with some dancing and fun from what I understand. I’ve even heard of threats to kick people out for things of that nature.

Service was slow to begin with in a half empty restaurant. Had enough staff, just didn’t have things divided well and no one was interested in helping the other. Wife really liked the food – especially her burger. She also liked my order of chicken and a biscuit. I was so so on it but it might just have been that I wasn’t that hungry in the first place. We will probably go back.

Our service today was excellent and the barbecue sandwich was very good. The onion rings however were terrible. The onion ring itself was very small and hard to find in the enormous amount of breading. The breading was so hard it was difficult to bite into. I believe the onion rings were similar to those served by Quincys when Fetch first opened and were very good but we got something entirely different today.
