I had a business trip in Cleveland and the goal was to eat only at places with the word tavern in their name.
Ferris was very nice place. It was a lot nicer inside than outside.
I went there expecting to get a steak. But they had a nice walleye special so I got it. You can’t get walleye anywhere. It was very easy. Blackened on a bed of sweet cabbagge over mini gnocchi.
I got a local beer which was nice with the walleye. It wasn’t very busy on a Wednesday night. Service was good, but food came out at different times.
I’d go back.

Our overall experience was excellent. The food was good….loved the stuffed peppers appetizer. Salads were fresh tasting and appropriate size. The Delmonico was cooked to perfection as was the short ribs special. What they lacked in pizzazz was made up for with spot on execution. Our service was efficient and she eventually warmed up a bit and became slightly conversational. The room was comfortable but for our 5:30 reservation the server/bartender back of the house chitchat was way too loud. It was one off color comment away from ruining the dinner. I was mostly disappointed in the laminated menus and lack of being offered a wine list or menu. Those two things aren’t deal breakers but disappointing given the vibe and atmosphere of the room.

I can’t say enough great things about Ferris Steak House! The food is incredible and the service unparalleled. I’ve eaten here for the past three years and always have the such an enjoyable experience.
The calamari is my favorite appetizer, and the lemon raspberry drop cocktail is perfect for those who enjoy the sweeter things. The steak is melt-in-your-mouth, especially the Delmonico.
Special shout-out to the A+ servers, including Ilene, Betty, and Christine. The bartenders Matt and Victoria never fail to craft delicious drinks.
Easy 5 stars!

Food quality wasn’t great, steak was tough. Ordered medium well and received well done. Also ordered the steak sandwich and was kind of rubbery. Not worth the high menu prices. Cold A/C too. Service was great by Brooke. Steak was tough and didn’t have alot of flavor

I recently visited Ferris Steakhouse in Cleveland, Ohio, and it was an incredible experience! This place is a must-visit for any steak lover in the area.
I ordered the Demarco cut, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The steak was cooked to perfection – a beautiful medium-rare with a mouthwatering crust on the outside and tender, juicy meat on the inside. The quality of the beef was outstanding, and you could tell they source their meat from top-notch suppliers.
The sides were equally impressive. I tried the grilled mushrooms and steak fries, both of which complemented the steak beautifully. The portions were generous, and everything was seasoned just right.
What really stood out was the attention to detail in every aspect of the meal. From the perfectly crafted cocktails to the delicious crème brûlée for dessert, every part of the dining experience was top-notch.
The atmosphere at Ferris is classic steakhouse – elegant but not stuffy, with a warm and inviting ambiance. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
If you’re in Cleveland, Ohio, and looking for a fantastic steak dinner, Ferris Steakhouse should be at the top of your list. It’s a bit of a splurge, but for a special occasion or when you’re craving a truly excellent steak, it’s absolutely worth it. Don’t miss out on this Cleveland gem!

The only reason we went here again is it’s because it was my FIL’s 80th bday and this is where he and his now deceased wife loved to go. The calamari and crab cakes were amazing (crab cakes a little charred) but the lamb Loli’s were….well I’d challenge the chef to prove it was lamb. My wife got the steak sandwich and just like the lamb loli’s either both meats were spoiled or they weren’t actually the meat the menu said. For over $300….i will not be back, sorry Ellie was great, food quality not good and with reservations….dinner took well OVER an hour. Thank god the apps came fast and were good.

So here’s the thing when this restaurant moved from it’s nearer west side location to Rocky River I went the first week. It was uncharacteristically bad. But hey, first week. Returned 6 months later, still not a good experience. So, I have avoided this pace for, likec10+ years. On a whim went there last Saturdauly night. IT WAS AMAZING! The service was great. The food was perfectly delicious. My steak was prepared expertly and literally melted in my mouth. The scallops were seasoned so well and prepared splendidly, but the presemtation….OUTSTANDING. This lively place is now “on my list”. I felt it was absolutely worth every cent I paid. I will be back!

Well, I chose Ferris Steakhouse & Tavern for birthday dinner & had a great time visiting with friends. Thats about the only positive thing I have to say about my experience there. We had 5 tables sat after we ORDERED and they all were on deserts before we got our dinner. Then my medium rare steak came med well. When the Manager brought the 2nd attempt out, she ordered me to cut it in front of her. I was NOT happy with the service or quality if my meal. Thank God the company was great and the setting was nice. I heard several other people complaining. You all know I normally give honest and good reviews, but too many disappointments here for my liking & the price. For these prices, it should have been way better.

Nothing good to say about our experience. Atmosphere-Nothing special, and even if it were it was too cold to enjoy. Serving low quality food at high quality prices you’d think they could afford to turn the heat on. Our server took our orders, helped bring out some of our food, and that was it. Even that seemed like an imposition for her. I understand it’s not a high end steak house, but for the price I would expect better than Longhorn-I’m not a fan of Longhorn.
