Lemon Raspberry Cake
When your boyfriend says: “you’re worth a bakery cake for your birthday”, and then you tell him to choose the bakery. But it takes 3 stops at 3 different bakeries to find actual cake…you end up here. It’s very difficult in the baking world to get the balance of tart and sweet without sacrificing one or the other in cake. This cake I can assure does not sacrifice either. The lemon was vibrant and refreshing, while the raspberry is sweet and balanced the tart of the lemon.
One thing we did note – they were voted the best bakery 12 years running. I can see why.

Just discovered this little hidden gem nestled away on a side street. Amazing people working, super kind. Ample amount of garden seating with great sun.
The iced latte and iced coffee was refreshing, and the pastries really hit the spot. I had the raspberry almond pudding bar – so fresh and a great size. My boyfriend had the cinnamon roll and said it was perfect.
Saturdays are croissant day so we will definitely be back!

I LOVE this place! I recently took my sister here for her birthday and she loved it too. A quiet seating area with a cozy atmosphere. Also, the food is delicious! Everthing I’ve gotten from here, breakfast, lunch, bakery and drinks have been superb. Finally the staff. They are so kind, friendly, and down to earth. I feel like I’m walking into my own home every time I go here. I would give this establishment 100 stars if I could.

I’ve never had anything bad from Fernleaf. Their cinnamon roles are the best. The shop is very welcoming and is a gem!

Don’t miss stopping by FernLeaf bakery. Irene and Tim put their heart and soul into everything that is prepared here. If you are in town on a Saturday morning, get there early for “croissant day” They are the best croissants outside of France.

Excellent all around. Focus is on the patisserie with in house made everything. Limited but sufficient coffee menu. Just try everything. Bagels are fabulous. Highly reccomended. They only make bread on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and will sell out by noon! Highly reccomended!

A quaint cafe tucked neatly amongst neighborhood homes. This house turned business is cozy and homely, with a warm and inviting main room with lots of natural lighting for eating. The coffee is delicious and robust, with many bakery options and sandwiches for your breakfast or lunch. Will be back often to try all the delicious baked goods.

Delicious! Great place to grab Pastries for Gatherings
Excellent variety, tasty, carefully crafted, and even a few gluten-free options.
They even have mini-cheesecakes ☺️
Everyone enjoyed. Great local bakery.

When traveling, my family loves to find the small, local bakeries. From Old Orchard Beach pier, it was sooo worth the 15 minutes drive and small business pricing. Some may complain, but the skill behind these pastries are worth every penny!
My dad and I agree that we don’t think we’ve had a better danish anywhere. Perfectly flaky, crispy but soft, amazing fruit and flavor–I’m obsessed!
I didn’t try it, but my dad groaned from the deliciousness of the Cinnamon bun, so I take that as another compliment towards their pastry making. Oh and mom loves the blueberry muffin!
Hopefully swinging back through tomorrow on our way out of town 🙂
