A family-oriented Mexican restaurant serving authentic Sonoran-style Mexican recipes. Fernando’s made-from-scratch sauces, seasoned meats, and signature recipes have become known across the state. Our award-winning margaritas and Sonoran food are rooted from Jalisco, Mexico. All our food is prepared fresh daily, using locally sourced ingredients as often as possible. Sonoran cuisine is known for rich and varied flavors without the spiciness. You want to spice it up? Add our famous hot sauce, a special mix of peppers, chiles and tomato sauce. Fernando’s is locally owned and operated by Mitch & Carole Tempus, both have been in the foodservice industry for over 30 years.

Casual cocina (outpost of a local chain eatery) serving familiar Mexican food, fajitas & margaritas.

Ordered 2 fried flour steak tacos and rice and beans and got 2 corn tortillas with no toppings and bland and rice and beans are cold!

Fernando’s margaritas are always great but tonight I was especially blown away by my meal. Both the shrimp & chicken street tacos were amazing! The super yummy sauces put them over the top.
Ordered the combo fajitas. It was suggested we add the “Fernando favorite” which adds cheese and chorizo. It was hot and super delicious.
My entire family all enjoyed their food. Very good value for the money.

Great tostadas!! They have flour and corn tortillas which is a great option!! Pico is great too!! The Mexican mudball was a good too for a twist on fried ice cream.

Always an amazing experience at Fernando’s for Sonoran style Mexican. Hot, fast, service with a smile from Izzy! This is a beef enchhilada with beans and rice and a beef taco in a fried flour tortilla. The enchilada is smothered in a beautiful red sauce and just enough real cheddar cheese. The taco has cheddar and all the fresh lettuce you can stand! Beware! The ground beef is actually fried and brown, not boiled and grey. This could be your new favorite spot! It’s been mine for 25 years.

First last time.
Sign on the desk upon arriving immediately tells you to give the servers a break – they at least showed up.

Immediately seated in a large booth with a tiny round table. Took awhile for anyone to come over, despite seeing staff and a manager pass us.

No free chips + salsa, no biggie. Chips are DELISH! Best part of the dinner.

Ordered: Chicken Quesadilla + Chili Relenos

No BEUNO.
Chicken tasted reheated and from a pre-sliced bag. Quesadilla filled with an over abundance of what looked and tasted like Colby Jack cheese.

Chili slop was nothing more than a bag or two of cheese – heart attack dish.

Didn’t finish either dish and didn’t take leftovers. Too much cheese covering the lackluster chicken.

Dessert: Fried Ice Cream: DELISH

Price: Fair
Service: Slow

Recommendation: Maybe not go on a busy understaffed Friday night. Parking is limited on busy nights.

Ehhh, again. Pico was not good and we returned immediately.

Food was okay. Still no free chips and salsa. Beans were not authentic and tasted straight out of a can. Fajitas had no flavor.

My wife and I are regulars. We like a good margarita. And most of the time we get them except when Mike is the bartender. Everyone else does great but if Mike makes it chances are it will be overfilled with ice and half full of lime juice.

Nothing to brag about. Service was slow. Food was not that good.

We showed up on time for our 5pm reservation with a large group. It wasn’t until 6:45 by the time we all received our food. They were not staffed well enough to handle how busy it was during our visit.

I can’t speak for everyone else’s food but mine had no flavor and wasn’t very hot.

I probably won’t visit again anytime soon.

Food was bland, no seasoning in chicken or beef, no chips and queso but instead basically microwaved craft shredded cheese on top of chips. A friend ordered fish tacos and it smelled like a grimy lake and killed our appetite just by sitting near the smell. Server was nice but we felt rushed even though the place was empty.

We tried Fernando’s for the first time on Saturday. Food is great and relatively inexpensive. The margaritas are very small for 7 dollars. They needed several space heaters to keep the rooms semi comfortable (and it was still chilly ). The nachos were bomb. Enchiladas, tacos ,and chimichanga were all good.

Food was delicious, had the #2 Fernando’s Favorite with a beef taco and a seafood enchilada. Both were delicious. No chips and salsa come before your meal which isn’t a hug deal to me but some of you might find that a useful fact… (if you made it this far give me a thumbs up). Frozen margarita was ok, nothing special but it was drinkable… staff was friendly, restroom was clean but had a sewer smell. Nice little place for lunch!
