Perfect 5 stars from me. This place has amazing subs. I got one of the specialty subs called “Mr. Biggins”. It’s a blend of a pastrami cheesesteak/rueben. I added some saurkraut instead of coleslaw, and I added onions and mushrooms. All of that on a jalapeño sub bun. Spice level is on point, and the russian dressing was unlike any other ruassian dressing I’ve had. That dressing was a unique mix of sweet/sour sauce with a bit of zing to it. That sub knocked me off my feet with the flavor and taste. I HIGHLY reccomend it. One last note: not a lot of places offer pastrami in SE Michigan, and when I do find a place that sells it, it’s usually sub par, but Fenton Deli was–hands down–the best I’ve had since I went to NYC.
The staff behind the counter were pleasant people. The casheir girl was really nice. The guy making the subs was superficially comparable to a skinny hipster santa clause, and I’m here for it. Really cool guy, and he was helpful in picking out a sub, answered all my questions and offered all the customizations my heart desired (there is no lack of options here, so I did feel a bit overwhelmed with the choices BUT I wouldn’t change that.) He is definitely the food artist behind the scenes here.
The atmosphere was reminiscent of a greasy spoon in the city (which I prefer), that’s typically a good sign of a top tier deli. Comfortable window seating with bar top, or standard tables if you prefer.
In the end, I will 100,000% be returning with friends, family, and coworkers. I’ve already spread the word to them all! I cannot wait to get another sub. Just a fantastic experience on a typical work day.

The sandwich was huge. I ate from it for 3 days. This is real deli fresh. The sandwich was so good. Have been back several times. Remember if the sandwich seems $$ that if will easily feed two. Likely another lunch after. There are a few stables to sit and eat. Honestly the best sandwich I have ever had. Oh it holds up well I would not hesitate to get to go. Enjoy.

Been going here for over 10+ years. My favorite sub place in the world. Order a medium and you ordered a feast. A large is easily 2 meals. The bread is always fresh. Lots of meat on your sandwich. Be careful when traveling with them. Maybe ask for dressing on the side if your doing to go.

This was my first time and LAST time that my family will ever eat here!!
Paid for 2 extra cookies ($3.20/each) & didn’t get them, my kids sandwich was missing ALL of her toppings + a WARM juice box, my sandwich was on incorrect bread, all sandwiches were small/slim (hardly any meat etc for $20/sandwich), and the broccoli & cheese soup was extremely salty (and we like salt)!! We didn’t even eat it all, it went into the trash!!!
I tried to call & contact them, but their phone number is not active! I cannot go on their website, because that too, is inactive! I left a Facebook message (how professional is it that I have to contact through FB Messenger!?) for their business page, with no reply. Now I have a headache (from all the salt & my blood pressure rising), and my husband has an upset stomach + we’re out over $80 & can’t even contact the owners about my issues!!!!!!
I do not know how this place has good reviews & is still in business!!! Subway is better than this place, cheaper + no headache from all of the salt!

Upon entry into the restaurant it isn’t dirty but doesn’t appear to be cleaned recently, floors are somewhat dirty (aged dirt) and the oven looks like it could use a cleaning as well. Would love to see the gentleman preparing the food wearing a hair net and beard net (also recently mentioned by another review, and is a servesafe practice, if your not servesafe I’d suggest this training, if you are, follow the practice). If you are going to wear gloves to prepare food you should be changing them out after you touch your hair or take phone calls or handle money otherwise what’s the point of having the gloves on? I did witness this and thought about leaving. Lastly, in my opinion, there are way too many choices and that is probably why the service feels slow/is slow.

Absolutely wonderful! The food and service were both amazing. I accidentally came in right after closing (the worst kind of customer, I know ), but they were so kind & patiently and served me anyways! I haven’t been here in a few years, and they’re just as great as I remember. Definitely recommend giving them a try!
