One of the best Sichuan hot pot experiences in the DMV area!

The broth here is incredibly flavorful and authentic. The spicy base has that deep Sichuan mala taste — rich, fragrant, and numbing in the best way. If you like real Sichuan hot pot, this place absolutely delivers.

The ingredient quality was also great. The sliced beef and fish were fresh, and the handmade meatballs and tofu products were really good. They also have a nice selection of vegetables and traditional hot pot items you don’t always see at other places.

Another highlight is the sauce bar — lots of options so you can mix your own perfect dipping sauce. The staff were friendly and the service was fast even when the restaurant was busy.

The atmosphere is lively and feels very much like a hot pot spot you’d find in China. Great place to come with friends and spend a long dinner cooking and chatting.

If you’re craving authentic Sichuan hot pot around DC / Northern Virginia / Maryland, this place is definitely worth checking out.

We had a great experience at Feng Hotpot. I’ve heard the restaurant is super popular in China, and after I went to taste myself, I know it truly delivers authentic Sichuan hotpot.

The flavor of the broth is perfectly balanced with that signature Sichuan mala (numbing and spicy) taste. Every ingredient tasted fresh and high quality, from the thinly sliced beef tongue 牛, beef tripe毛肚, crispy pork sticks 小酥肉, You can really tell the kitchen takes pride in maintaining traditional Sichuan flavors rather than watering down/“localized.”

The restaurant is beautifully decorated with elements inspired by Chengdu culture, which makes the whole experience feel immersive and special. It’s warm, lively, and feels very much like stepping into a hotpot restaurant in Chengdu.

Finally, the service was excellent. The staff were attentive, friendly, and happy to help explain the menu and make recommendations. They checked in frequently and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal.

It’s easily one of the best Sichuan hotpot experiences I’ve had in DMV, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves real Sichuan cuisine. As someone who lives in Chengdu for years, I’ll definitely be coming back!

Had a fantastic dinner at Feng Hotpot! The atmosphere is modern and welcoming, and the service was attentive from start to finish. I love that they prioritize quality over the ‘all-you-can-eat’ rush. Everything from the presentation of the meat to the variety of mushrooms was top-notch. Great spot for a date or a nice dinner with friends.

Great hotpot spot with really good meat quality — noticeably better than most ayce. The spicy broth has a nice kick but isn’t overpowering. Some people mention long waits, but the wait time was pretty reasonable. Servers are friendly and attentive. Definitely a place worth coming back to.

We finally came to try Principal Feng’s newly opened hot pot restaurant today, and it did not disappoint!

The soup base is very authentic and truly captures the traditional Sichuan hot pot flavor — rich, aromatic, and full of depth. You can really taste the quality.

There were just two of us, but we ordered more than ten dishes because everything looked so good. We ended up with a lot of leftovers and happily packed them to take home!

My personal favorites were the beef tongue and the egg fried rice — both were absolutely delicious and surprisingly impressive.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Sichuan-style hot pot. We’ll definitely be back!

We tried this hot pot restaurant at noon on a weekday. My husband and I always have hot pot two or three times a month. After comparison, although the price is higher than other hot pot AYCE restaurants, the ingredients and soup base of this restaurant are currently the best. I really like the sour soup base and spicy pot here, as well as the beef tongue and wakame sprouts. We will definitely come often. We hope they can maintain the quality.

Feng Hotpot is one of the best hotpot spots I’ve tried! The broth options are rich and flavorful, especially the spicy soup base which has the perfect balance of heat and aroma without being overwhelming. The ingredients are incredibly fresh — high-quality meats and a great variety of vegetables and exclusive dishes. I also love their sauce bar with so many options to customize your dipping sauce exactly how you like it. The restaurant is clean, modern, and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Whether you’re going with family or friends, Feng Hotpot makes the whole experience fun and satisfying. I’ll definitely be coming back!

As someone from Sichuan, I have to say this is the most authentic Chengdu hot pot I’ve had in Maryland. I was pleasantly surprised that their drinks and desserts are also excellent. Highly recommended!

One of the best hot pot spots in the DMV area. I’ve tried quite a few hot pot places around DC, Maryland, and Virginia, and Feng Hot Pot definitely stands out.

The mala broth is the star of the show. It has that authentic Sichuan flavor with a perfect balance of spice and numbing peppercorn. It’s rich, aromatic, and gets even better as you keep cooking ingredients in it. If you like real Chinese hot pot, you’ll love this broth. The tomato soup base is also surprisingly good and a great option if you want something lighter.

The ingredients are fresh and high quality. The beef slices, tripe, and shrimp paste were all excellent. The tripe has that perfect crunchy texture when you cook it quickly, and the meat quality is noticeably better than many other hot pot places I’ve been to.

The restaurant is clean, modern, and comfortable. It’s a great place to come with friends or family. The staff are friendly and attentive—they check in regularly and make sure the broth and everything else are taken care of.

Overall, great food, great service, and a really solid hot pot experience. Definitely one of my go-to spots in the DMV for hot pot. I’ll definitely be back.
