It was super tasty.
The other food was ok too. But definitely order the lasagna.
Some staff issues which was ok but they later told us they were all hungover…. So maybe management needs to look into that
We had to ask for napkins, water and more drinks etc.
Staff were nice though, just not on the ball.
The ambience was outstanding: warm, vibrant, and authentically Italian without feeling forced. The room was filled with satisfied guests, and the gentle backdrop of Italian music elevated the atmosphere even further. A particular mention must go to Shane, whos hospitality was nothing short of world-class. His professionalism, humility, and genuine care set a standard rarely seen. The entire team was attentive, polished, and contributed to an experience that felt almost beyond value.
While our total came to just over $350, the quality of the food, service, and environment made it entirely worthwhile. The wine list is exceptional, offering a sophisticated range to complement the menu. If there were an option to rate Fellini six stars, I would do so without hesitation. It is a true Hobart gem a restaurant that not only meets expectations but surpasses them with ease. A sincere toast to the chef for delivering dishes of such high calibre.
The service is not very well oiled, the main man was pleasant but doesn’t really fit the environment in white plimsoles shoes when everyone else is dressed in all black. The staff are really nice and attentive, but not enough of them. (This was a Saturday).
The food was lacking seasoning, the arancini was incredibly bland – tasted like it was from the freezer. The pasta sauce was watery. We left most of the food, and a few others around us did the same.
All in all, I wouldn’t go back, but I’m not that disappointed, as in terms of food it only cost ~$90.
** our starter plates weren’t super clean which was our first sign of a clear lack of care.
Its more than a restaurant – its a place where one can be nourished with good food and hospitality.
Staff were very friendly which helped to compensate however charging per bottle of almost flat un-carbonated “sparkling“ water that was out of a tap is completely not on these days and left us vowing not to take a second chance…
The mozzarella was a tasty highlight to distract from otherwise awkward dishes & worth pointing out that the rigatoni would almost pass as “al dente” if the rest of the dish had been at all well balanced. Not all Hobart tourists are one time visitors but it felt like this place was setup to trick you once!
Shane was lovely.
Could not fault. Thank you Shane and co for a truly memorable evening
