I was in town for business and ended up staying overnight. After looking at options I thought I would try Felisa’s. I was able to walk in and get promptly seated. The ladies who were servicing the tables were hustling! They must walk miles with every shift as they were all over the dining area and never slowed down or stopped smiling! service was great. I ended up ordering a combo meal with a taco, chili relleno, and enchilada. All with ground beef. It came out in short order and paired well with the beer I had. The place was about half full which I didn’t think was bad for a Thursday night. The atmosphere was good with music playing in the background and the lights slightly dimned in the back portion where I was seated. To end the meal I ordered a serving of fried ice cream and you should too! The options on the menu will take care of most people and the price was respectable. Definitely a good value!

At Felisa’s you get a 10% discount if you’re staying at the Holiday Inn Express next door. The food is alright, good place to stop by if you’re in a pinch as there aren’t many other options. I ordered the Veggie Quesadilla which was more like a veggie pizza. I also tried the Bean Burrito and Sopaipillas for dessert. The sopaipillas were doughy – not like what I’m used to in New Mexico and they were served with packets of honey. The service was excellent and love the Mexican themed ambiance!

Chips were terrible, queso was just nacho cheese. Everything was over priced, and prolly the worst mexican food i’ve had. My water did not get refilled for over 15 minutes. Tables were dirty everywhere, very short staffed.

We have been coming to La Junta for 20 years and eating at Felisa each time. How do they stay so good for so long? It’s a mystery. We don’t know when we will be back but when we do we will eat here again.

The chips are served warm and it’s obvious that the guacamole is made fresh.

This place is only ok. Was not super impressed. Not very authentic. Even the salsa, not so much salsa as it was enchalida sauce from a can, that’s my guess anyway. But considering our 1st meal in town was mcdonalds, this place was a 4star restaurant by comparison. Service was good. We would eat there again. Not alot of choices walking distance from the Hampton. Also, mention you are staying at the Hampton and you get 10% off your meal.

Never in my life after 30 years in the restaurant business have I ever seen a place where the waitress has to bus their own tables wow! The owner needs to revisit this idea. How can a server serve their customers when they are to busy bussing dirty tables. It took forever to get our food because they were cleaning dirty tables instead of taking care of folks drinks, food, or whatever they needed our waitress said that owner though this was a great idea. terrible service. The waitress was very nice but also frustrated that she couldn’t take care of her customers that would essentially be giving her a tip me. Sad

Another great road trip stop. Kind staff and great food. Flavorful fajitas, yummy spicy salsa, and the deep fried ice cream was different but very good.
