On Monday, 1/19/25, I ordered #11 (two chckn tacos plate). The tacos were half the portions of the regular sized tacos I usually receive. I ordered another #11 to take home. Those tacos were even smaller than what I ordered earlier, including the rice and beans. I was extremely disappointed with both my orders. I have been coming for years then this happened. I’ll give it another try, but if the tacos and portions are small again, I won’t return.

Best Mexican food in the area! I’ve been coming to this place for over 30 years. They really have some of the best food around. I have 4 different plates I order regularly. Number 7 and 11 or the taco salad or nachos. The shredded beef here is awesome. Its on all 4 of the plates I usually get.
Beef tacos are done perfectly here. Best cheese enchiladas!
Staff is always super friendly, some of the staff has been here for years. Family owned. Must try if you’re in the area.

Not sure why the reviews are so high, food was bland, meat was un seasoned and tough. There was no flavor at all. Very underwhelming. Great service but I could’ve made better food at home for cheaper.

This has been my favorite Mexican restaurant for well over 30 years. It’s definitely stood the test of time that tells you something.
The chicken tacos and chimichangas are both my favorites. The service is amazing.The girls are very friendly and are prompt to greet and help you. Most of all, the good is ALWAYS DELICIOUS!

It pains me to say this Felipe’s for over 35 years and I always order the same item because it is that good the chimichanga they used their grandmother’s recipe that the original owners Grandmother Had in their family for many years and tonight I ordered the same dish. I ordered a chimichanga large with beans and rice and the meat had a lot of Grizzle it was very chewy I had to spit out many pieces of it which is not normal for this establishment they’re chimichangas are probably the best in all of California and I mentioned this to the waitress and she did nothing she basically asked me what does she want me to do about it I let the waitress know that I’m a long-term customer and I’ve brought many many people to this restaurant over the decades I think some form of compensation should have been in order for the lack of quality that this establishment should be known for but everyone that ran that restaurant this evening was it very young they were almost this entitlement attitude the manager I talked to was probably a day over 16 and said well I told the kitchen well you know what a manager is not just a title it’s about how you handle problems with someone that has been there as long as I have. The wait staff had this I don’t care attitude they were all young 20 something year olds and they had no clue on how to handle this problem you know $20 for a meal should have been compensated at least a portion of it or at least an invite for the next meal to be 50% off the next meal but it wasn’t even offered. A lot of establishments nowadays are going under that have been in business for a very long time and this is the reason why young people that have no training and understanding of the restaurant business and when a customer such as myself who also does Google reviews for restaurants such as I do I feel the waitress didn’t listen to me she screwed up the order several times for the additional meals that my wife and her mother were having and no one did anything not to mention that the food quality for the meat was dry and it was very chewy and then to top it off no one care to even listen to the complaint of the then I will tell the kitchen which basically was a brush off but then also not compensating me for the lack of quality for the overpriced that we are paying in California because of the Communist Governor that we have that sets in law these insane wages which trickles down to having these high costs for restaurants but the quality of food should also reflect the increase in price. I have to say in the 35 years plus that I have come to this establishment this is the worst experience that I have had and I really don’t feel that I was listening to that anything was done about the problem with the actual food and this is an issue and if this continues I don’t feel this establishment will remain in business for very long maybe the owners of The Establishment will catch wind of this and reach out and try to reach me I have no desire to be going back unless some serious changes done in management and food quality

My daughter ordered me a chicken chimichanga. It had celery in it for a filler. It had like chunks of beef which I ordered chicken.I don’t know who’s cooking it now.But it used to be a lot better

Very friendly, clean and had a certificate from the health department for passing multiple health inspections. I ordered the #5 to go. The wait was fast and the Chile relleno was excellent. The beef burrito also very flavorful. The beef taco, rice and beans all very good. It includes chips and salsa. Prices reasonable.

This place was kinda dark inside but was clean and the staff was friendly. The food was not good at all. It started with the chips and salsa. The chips were brittle and couldn’t hold the very watery salsa that had almost no flavor. The tostada was small for the price and blah… no flavor, not mixed well and hardly any good ingredients. We used the watered down salsa to help it out, didn’t do much. The chicken taco was just as bad. The shell felt stale and there was no flavor. Just lettuce cheese and unseasoned chicken. The cheese enchilada was quite small, maybe made in a street taco shell, yeah that tiny, disappointing. I read this place had the best authentic Mexican food this side of the boarder. I won’t be back and I love Mexican food. Definitely not the even in the top 20. Don’t be disappointed go somewhere else, maybe Lorenzo’s I think that’s near by. If you want to travel a bit my favorite is Lupita’s!
